(CNN)By all appearances Shaun Harrison was living an exemplary life. He was a dean at a Boston public high school. He mentored young people. And, Harrison regularly attended services at a local church for a decade, before leaving in 2012, according to the church's pastor.
Now, Harrison is charged with armed assault with intent to murder, aggravated assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. He's also facing multiple weapons charges.
Harrison is accused of shooting one of his students in the head.
While he was working as "dean of academy" at English High, Harrison was also running a marijuana distribution enterprise, according to Suffolk County Assistant District Attorney, David Bradley.

He is also a known "community activist" who supports gun control. I guess by "gun control" he means shooting accurately when murdering teenagers.

If that were true, the kid would be dead.
No, what he means by “gun control” is “guns and armed guards for me and mine, gun-free zones for thee and thine.”

weird how the likes of CNN only think it’s god morals and living to go to church when it puts the person in a bad light.

For a minute I was afraid this was the right-wing extremist the DHS has been praying for, but he's just your run-of-the-mill drug dealer.

That’s “gun control” in the Carl Rowen school of thought.

He was living an exemplory life...hiring a kid to sell drugs?
“At an arraignment hearing Thursday, Bradley said the 55-year-old now-former dean shot a 17-year-old student he had allegedly hired to sell marijuana.”

"weird how the likes of CNN only think its god morals and living to go to church when it puts the person in a bad light."
It was an AME church (African Methodist Episcopal), so it sounds like it was probably a liberal church, for what it's worth..

Harrison's sister Susan defended her brother to the Globe, telling the paper: "My brother is a good man, and I don't know how this happened. It was a setup."

That’s the community activist? (guess so).

Ahh, if he had only opened up a “herbal solutions” dispensary, all would be well.
Afterall, I can’t recall when I saw someone older than 25 entering or leaving our local “dispensaries”.
Must be an epidemic of young cancer victims out there.

He probably means by
‘gun control” that he would prefer that his potential victims should not be armed.

My high school had a Dean.
He was a black guy. Looked a bit like the fellow in this story. His main task was to dole out suspensions to white students for minor infractions to balance out all of the ones being handed out by the Principal to black students for low-level felonies.
Sort of how the NHL calls even-up penalties in the playoffs.
