Millennials Are More Racist Than They Think
Politico ^ | 03/09/2015

Posted on 03/09/2015 5:56:32 PM PDT by E. Pluribus Unum

News about race in America these days is almost universally negative. Longstanding wealth, income and employment gaps between whites and people of color are increasing, and tensions between police and minority communities around the country are on the rise. But many claim there’s a glimmer of hope: The next generation of Americans, they say, is “post-racial”—more tolerant, and therefore more capable of easing these race-based inequities. Unfortunately, closer examination of the data suggests that millennials aren’t racially tolerant, they’re racially apathetic: They simply ignore structural racism rather than try to fix it.

Maybe they just see the world as one plus one, black and white, right and wrong

Ever stop to think about THAT ?

Racist? Bigoted? Immune to the constant use of the race card? Or just don’t give a damn?

Public godlessness has worked its magic on the upcoming generation. They care for and about nothing beyond satisfying their appetites. I doubt “affirmative action” will have much impact on that.

As my Millennial children told me several times. Going to a High School filled with ‘black’ students taught them all they ever needed to know about racism.

Which is why they have no ‘black’ friend now and when looking for an apartment or an area to buy a home in they actively look at the ‘racial’ makeup of the area.

So are they ‘Racist’ or are they just relying upon their ‘learning experiences’ from high school and their working careers?

Zerobama is the best argument against affirmative action ever. Oh, and Eric Holder. Oh, and Colin Powell. Oh, and Susan Rice. Need I go on?

“They simply ignore structural racism”

They ignore something that does not exist?

Most of the racial economic divide is better correlated to the marriage / legitimacy rate than anything else.
Two thirds of black kids are illegitimate, two thirds of white kids are legitimate. White single mothers have fewer kids than married white mothers; black single women are the only group for which the inverse is true.
Single mothers tend to have less educated kids, children more likely to do drugs, get arrested, become mentally ill, never work, go on disability, have more illegitimate children.
The disparity of black versus white isn’t due to racism. It is due to the race hustlers of the 1960s who pushed the poor to sign up for welfare programs that penalized marriage, resulting in an illegitimacy rate that was several times higher in the 1970s than the 1950s.
Even Democrat Daniel Patrick Moynihan was concerned about that trend several decades ago.
The reason blacks are still disproportionately poor and under achieving today is the relative dissolution of the family unit for the past two generations because of the programs the government rolled out to help them.
For middle class blacks who follow the finish school, stay out of trouble, marry the woman model, they do just as well in most regards as whites. Asians, who follow that model, are as successful as the whites.
The problem with black poverty is the destruction of the married two parent family in that community caused by government and black leaders who encouraged dependance, not the majority around them.

(Black-white marriages currently make up just 2.2 percent of all marriages.)

With 3/4 of all black children growing up in a single parent household, it's got to be a higher segment than just 2.2% of the married black people.

But rather than look at a demographic that for whatever reason never marries or does not stay married, attack the whole country as 'racist'.

Interracial marriages include black and hispanic, white and asian, filipino and scottish, etc.

But at Politico, everything is black or white.

Maybe they don't see any reason to be constantly told how awful they are since the Civil Rights Act and Affirmative Action are no less than 15 years older than the very oldest millennial.

Not one of them - let alone any boomers - have ever participated in institutionalized racism.

Yet the race racketeers are more shrill than they have ever been.

Eduardo Bonilla-Silva calls “racism without racists,” a system where racial gaps persist less because of explicit discrimination and more because of structural factors—things like the passage of wealth from generation to generation or neighborhoods that remain segregated because of past injustices.

Marxists want to redistribute 'the' wealth.

And the author ignores bigots like Spike Lee who want to keep the black neighborhoods black.

Translation: It was a slow, low click day at Politico, so they ran a story with the word “Race” in the headline.
