It’s a problem for the Dutch to work through.

How did you make the leap from a discussion about the Danish situation to something involving the Dutch?

Putin knows America currently has a sissymary at its helm. Bully’s look for sissys to take their lunch money. Putin would not have been so cavalier against Denmark with a MAN running the show in Washington.

As I see it the Russia today is not the Soviet Union...most recognize this even if the old war horses choose not to.

Putins’ not a Communist, he’s interested in oil and securing his borders and military ports from Nato expansion which most who are looking at both sides of this power struggle between Nato and Russia understand... That includes building up his military on those borders with all that’s been happening since Nato crossed the red line they knew was a red line in Ukraine.

How be it...they did cross it and here we are.....

The greatest problem going on is media today is drenched with an avalanche of fantasies and propaganda here in the US and now equally as much on International Stage.........it’s it’s a deadly dangerous thing.

Political affiliations interests preclude too many from seeing ‘evidences’... So we fail to even strive for objectivity, and for that TRUTH DISAPPEARS.

Everyone believes in the atrocities of the enemy and disbelieves in those of his own side, and stunningly without ever bothering to examine the evidence.

So we might consider what George Orwell warned this leads to............... .........

....“We are all capable of believing things which we know to be untrue..... And then when we are finally proved wrong, impudently twisting the facts so as to show that we were right.......Intellectually, it is possible to carry on this process for an indefinite time: .....the only check on it is that sooner or later a false belief bumps up against solid reality,...... usually on a battlefield.”

The Danes are part of NATO, we fight with them, and Russia is no match for us, or us as part of NATO, and they know it.

In the age of Obama, everyone in Europe and Japan and Korea needs to ask themselves how seriously they can take America's commitment to mutual defense. The Europeans are like little children, they enjoy smirking while taunting and belittling the United States, and making conciliatory gestures towards the Russians. When the United States tired of their barbs, sighed and elected "one of them" as president, they rejoiced and awarded him the Nobel Peace Prize on spec, further tarnishing its hopelessly degraded status.

And now the "nice daddy" dodders around the house as the ceilings leak, watching the NCAA tournament or jetting off on a golf junket financed by a loan on the kids' future, the place in shambles, but with that Nobel plaque hanging from the wall, and the Russians rattle their nuclear swords, savages dance in the Middle East and Japan and Korea look on in apprehension.

The dumbing-down of the press, and the degradation of language are directly responsible for the increasingly incompetent foreign policy and clumsy, self-destructive diplomacy seen in Washington in Obama’s Administration and the power they are welding over our allies and the economic wars he’s started....and it’s a deadly dangerous thing who’s outcome he will take to the edge of everyones limits for his own ego and self interests.

Further......Rational discourse on anything to do with Russia is replaced by name-calling and belligerent posturing and Diplomacy has become paranoid, with a militaristic approach now considered to be the sole legitimate approach to geopolitical conflicts.

Sheer, boneheaded stupidity would be a minor irritant if it stopped with the popular press,........but what is chilling is the fact that those ‘in positions of power’ now drink deep of their own propaganda, with policy formulated using the same tabloid press rhetoric and a logic shared with the average truck driver no attempt is made to understand the motives - the historical experience, the fears, the goals - of ones opponents.... Thus, do wars start when discussions stops and only the cannons speak....and we are almost there.

I could spit nails for the degree of propaganda from all sides which is playing out on the World Stage regarding the entire Middle east and Russia. The world leaders are INSANE!...and the media they are using to “shower” us with so we cannot see what the truth is.

Putin would not have been so cavalier against Denmark with a MAN running the show in Washington.

That was the first think I thought of when Obama got the office and, to make it double, that Nobel Peace Prize for a good start. With Ronald Reagan in the White House, all that Putin could do now would be wiping out the shit from his pants seeing a few hundred Pershing 2 (or I should say 3,4, or even 5) missiles being installed on the eastern Polish border.

Tiny Denmark once fought Germany over the Schleswig-Holstein question.twice in fact. 1850s and again in 1863. Outcome predictable. However, NATO was not around then.

Thank you...good post.

I will say that this has much more to do than America’s “commitment” to mutual defense... It’s sure looking like we’ve become a nation whose entire foreign policy is regime change.... advancing so called “US interests” which is code for Global Economic Warfare in one form or another with Obama admitting he’s using a strong arm on our allies to do what he wants when they don’t want to.

I was reading some of the Atlantic Council work as well as recent meetings in Brussels....here’s just one commit made among the “elites” there discussing trade:

“TTIP is last (best) chance for U.S./Europe ‘to control’ global commanding heights”. ....Joe Quinlan

Putin’s flapping his wings because he can......and knows how to...Obama is simply using Chicago thuggery both with Putin and our Allies because he’s got nothing else. He’s talked his way through life and now he’s up against the big boys who aren’t interested in playing the hands he’s dealing them.

BTW....France, Germany and Italy are now joining the UK in joining China-led development bank. (much to the displeasure of Obama)

Bring back the Hussars!

During my time in the Canadian infantry, I worked with many Poles. One of them was my very good friend who had only immigrated a few years prior. Once you got past his english skills, it was interesting hearing his stories.

I learned all about the Hussars from him heh.

I also learned how deep the warrior spirit lives in a lot of Poles.

Let us hope it doesn’t come to that. This year events are unfolding so quickly though, that it’s hard to keep up.

Ya, the same ones who were so potent it took the invention of the tank to stop them.

1683 they sure came and saw and conquered. Lucky for us, or Islam would of taken all of Europe.

It’s a shame they’re taking Europe now unopposed.

Maybe they just know that no matter what they do it will take the US two years to begin a response.

Hell, the Finns kicked some serious Russian ass in WWII. The Finns are quite capable warriors. The Danes may blink at Russian threats, but the Finns would tell them to pound sand.
