Ted Cruz Raises $2 Million in First 3 Days of 2016 Campaign

WASHINGTON — Sen. Ted Cruz, the first major Republican candidate to declare his White House candidacy, raised $2 million during the first three days of his presidential campaign — as his team deployed a mix of complex social-media strategy and behavioral analytics to reach and sway potential donors.

Hours before his announcement speech Monday in Lynchburg, Va., Cruz tweeted the news that he was running for president. That day, he had 5.7 million interactions on Facebook. So far, nearly two-thirds of his fundraising haul has flowed in through the Internet, aided behind the scenes by a team of data scientists who closely monitor social media and digital traffic to determine who’s reading their messages, who’s sharing them and who’s clicking through to his website and taking action.

I’m thrilled for Ted, and still dejected. 98 million to go and he will be where Jeb is today, that is if Jeb doesn’t raise another dime. That is, if Jeb doesn’t double that by 2016. It sure is a lot of opposition research money to land against each candidate.

I don’t know where that kind of money comes from, or if we can get it.

Prayer helps.

Call the GOP and ask how you can volunteer for Cruz. Really..
I wouldn't give them a dime though.

I made my first small donation to Ted Cruz on the day he announced. I’ll be making another one this weekend, and every week thereafter, while income permits.

Ted isn’t going to get a dime from the bid mega-donors. If we want to see him in the White House in 2017, we’re going to have to fund his campaign ourselves.

98 million to go.....keep it going. Hopefully next week will be 3 million and on and on and on. To be honest, it is a shame that politicians have to raise so much money just to represent us. No I don’t want federal funds, but I sure wish it was a lesser priority to have to raise money. Most have to begin immediately after election to raise money for the next campaign. I hate that for them.

Heard part of Cruz's opt-in speech on Beck's radio show. Someone said it would take about $50 million to become viable and eventually close to a billion to see it all the way through. I'd wager that there are plenty of big money folks who would be willing to donate to the cause as things get rolling - if we ignite the fuse with a LOT of early donations to really shake up the Left...
