I wonder if, and to what extent, the GOPe leaned on the Governor to cave. Not that it’s any excuse.

You're not going to join the Free Republic Patellar Reflex Contingency?

Did you listen to Pence's presser? I did. He repeated again and again that he was going to push for legislation that will make it a crime to refuse service. Please tell me how that is any different than compelling a business to provide service.

So do I. But how in the world will the Cruz team spin this?

Just hours ago Ted endorsed Mike Pence and praised him for this Religious Freedom Bill. Now Pence has gone and stabbed Ted in the back as he has caved in.

There’s a lesson here. Be sure your political allies are just that. Your trusted friends and not some gutless weasels who cower in the face of less than 2% of the public.

[[Mike Pence: ‘Was I expecting this kind of backlash? Heavens no.’]]

Well then you are naïve at best- OF COURSE ANYTHING you do is going to be HEAVILY criticized by the left- ESPECIALLY when you go after one of their core immoral ideologies- IF you were unaware this was going to happen, then shame on you sir! You should have anticipated this and been ready to FIGHT back against these sickos in the media and on the left- that is what we the people hired you to do- BE PREPARED! ESPECIALLY when you go after their core immorality issues

RE :”Eric Miller, Executive Director of Advance America, is another anti-LGBT activist who stood by Pence as he signed the bill. Advance America praised Pence for signing the bill last week, openly stating that it would allow wedding vendors to refuse to serve same-sex couples and allow Christian businesses to refuse transgender people access to restrooms. Miller was quoted as saying, “

Thanks, and now those who passed it and Pence are running like fwightened rats away for that.

The big problem is communication, they don't know how to defend it in terminology that will appeal to those outside of the choir, this is what spelled out doom from the start.(that plus fear)

Huh, talk about cutting off noses to spite faces!

Whatever dude. You must enjoy getting screwed. I don't. The only thing the GOP is going to listen to is their loss. That's it. Otherwise, they will continue to work hard to cave and to crush us true Conservatives. Get with the program, man. The GOP is dead. What's more, it's irrelevant at this point. There IS NO DIFFERENCE between the GOP and the Democrats. 2 sides, same coin. Be a patriot and get rid of the GOP, or support the statists and the destruction of the Constitution by voting GOP. Your choice.

"Pence is a gutless POS."

Yes he is; by agreeing that the law needs to be amended, he has given support to those who claim is was discriminatory. He should fall on his sword, disembowel himself on live TV to prove just how gutless he is. After all, it is the right thing to do...

Ted doesn’t have to say much at all. Just say he stands on his original position. Pence buckling is his problem, its not Ted’s.

"It would be helpful to move legislation this week that makes it clear that this law does not give businesses a right to deny services to anyone," Pence said

The law does exactly that when and only when providing services violates one's religious conscience. Perhaps they need to clarify that when the business service is of a religious nature such as a wedding or when the service promotes behavior contrary to religious morality.

It’s more llike the 20 percent of the population that is extremely left wing. The Left cultivated the gay marriage issue as a way to attack Christianity. Of course, the Gaystapo is even worse than most of the wider leftist community, if that’s possible.

Jesus let Himself be “screwed” (if you have to use such a term) in order that many be saved.

Now if there is no difference... how did such different platforms come to be inked? Who booed God on TV?

You come in Satan’s name... ready to pounce whenever someone falters... begone.

[[The left would not win this way if it were not permitted to win this way.]]

The4 ‘man of lawlessness’ IS being let lose- truth has now become despicable to the left, lies are the ‘new truth’ to them- and anyone that opposes them WILL BE vilified and punished by the left- Sin is good, morals are evil and have become ‘hate-crimes’

It’s just going to get worse the closer we get to the end- these things must come to pass- and there’s nothing we are going to do to stop it as evidenced by the spinelessness of the GOP as a whole who WILL NOT stand up to the left- (I’m not singling out pence here- I speak about the whole pry practically- we NEED someone with a spine, fortitude, anmd courage to do what is necessary, but again, it may be too late because sin has gained the upper hand I n this country- Even the majority of people in this country support such sin and lies sadly- I don’t think there is any recovering from it-

iirc, the bill passed both houses by substantial majorities. Hoosiers have their work cut out for them. Burn up the phones.

There is a difference between not selling a jar of pickles and not selling some custom made work of art that has expressive content.

But of course the condemnation meisters will be hard at work and nobody will actually connect with Pence. Hysteria at its finest. Everybody should be proud.
