I look at a car that is 8 years old as pretty new.
After the billions that President Choom and his gang of thieves stole from the bondholders, I'll walk before I ever buy another GM or Chrysler product.
Mazda just introduced the new Miata in New York...
Never again, GM!
I’ll let Government Motors rot. Go to a Toyota dealership and a GM dealership. The difference in customer service is astounding. Toyota s customer service has led to 3 purchases from us
Was it the 4.9 flat-12 that they put in the Testarossa back in the day? I just googled it...looks complex, but I like the idea of two inline sixes ganged together. What didn’t you like about it?
The thing will fall apart in Five years.
If the bulbs attach to a cluster, it’s not too hard to skip the shop and do it yourself. About the only hard part is gaining access.
I was quoted $140 for my Oldsmobile (last generation Aurora) and ended up fixing it for a lot less - for the cost of bulbs, time, and travel.
My friend is pushing 80 and not in good health. He isn’t interested in DIY at this stage in his life.
Being named car of the year and being car of the year are two different things. If it won’t sell, can’t compete, all the hype is just that, Hype.
GM just can’t make it up to the level of the Germans
tech, tech, tech....... suich 1950’s thinking
It’s not a Continental without a hump on the trunk lid.
I drive a 2008 CTS Premium Edition. Nice car. Next car is a BMW 335i or 535i. One thing I will miss though is being able to use 87 Octane fuel. And to another poster, I had a DRL go out on the passenger side. It’s a $250 fix because you have to remove the front fascia to get to it. So, I pulled the fuse so the driver side one stays off. Only regret is the 2008 didn’t have Bluetooth. The DI 3.6L really is zippy though. Fast and nimble car. Drove a 2015 BMW 528i and 328i. Night and day, really. BMW just builds them better. My other vehicle is a 2009 Suburban LTZ 4WD with a 6.0L engine. That is a fine piece of machinery. No one else makes such a vehicle.
Buy American.
Maybe that's his problem. I have a friend who is pushing 90 and is in great health. (He's currently piloting his own airplane somewhere 2000 miles from his home.) He is DIY all the way. DIY keeps you healthy and active. Another non DIY friend is in his 60's and can't even tie his own shoelaces.
“Buy American.”
I did... Toyota.
My last four cars in order were, Infiniti, Lexus, Toyota and Hyundai.
Anyone who says the economy is getting better is nuts or an Obama acolyte. But I repeat myself.
I was raised in a GM family. I’ll never buy another UAW assembled vehicle. They can get their Democrat politician lackeys to steal my tax money, but they’ll never get another dollar from me outside of that.
Who cares? I was loyal and loved you like family and for that you peed in my Cheerios and always drank the last beer. We're done here and I don't have any reasons to come back.
Fwiw, my Subaru was assembled in Indiana and my Tacoma was assembled in Texas.
These days I buy reliable, safe, American built cars and trucks and I also feel good about it!
