Recently, while announcing his 2016 presidential bid in front of 13,000 onlookers at central Virginia’s Liberty University, Texas Sen. Ted Cruz garnered tremendous applause, saying, “I believe God isn’t done with America yet.”
I think he’s right. Though the forces of evil may try, there are many Christ followers who intend to see spiritual revival break out in this, one of the two greatest nations on earth. “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land (2 Chronicles 7:14).”
Before its foundation America first flew the Appeal to Heaven flag. It was the banner George Washington used on his navy ships to signal that their only hope against British rule and religious persecution was an appeal to heaven. The crusade continues today.
Indeed, pockets of revival are breaking out under the appeal to heaven banner across the nation. Some are expecting the next great move of God to emerge under this banner that pictures an evergreen tree on a white flag with the words “An Appeal to Heaven” across the top.
“Our nation is in crisis. It has grown darker over the past six years. It will continue growing darker until we turn back to God as a nation. The good news is when we do, we’ll see a Great Awakening and many souls will come into the kingdom,” says Jennifer LeClaire, senior editor at Charisma magazine, contributor to BarbWire.com and author of “The Next Great Move of God: An Appeal to Heaven for Spiritual Awakening.” “I’m blowing the trumpet. Events in Indiana, Arkansas and around the world have shown that, as Christ warned, anti-Christian bigotry, hostility and persecution will rise to a great crescendo as we approach the end times. We are witnessing this now. In the Middle East and across the globe, many of our brothers and sisters face great persecution – what I call “hard persecution.” Here in America, radical secularists and Islamists are quickly moving us from a softer persecution into comparable hard persecution. As does LeClaire, I believe that this can be reversed and that we may yet witness a great revival – a Third Great Awakening.
Pick up “The Next Great Move of God” and read fascinating accounts and prophetic visions as to how many of your favorite faithful believe these events will unfold.
Like LeClaire, I don’t believe our nation is corrupted beyond hope.
Cruz used the term, “reclaim,” as in reclaim our republic. It can be done.
Very inspiring. I am not familiar with Jennifer LeClaire, but it seems to me this is a woman worth paying attention to.

The bigotry in this country against Judeo-Christianity is taught, daily, in every public school, university, and mass media outlet. It is institutional. Unless and until we start to defund and dismantle that engine of “public education,” we will fail. It doesn’t have to come all at once, but we’d damned well better get started. Wisconsin made a good start by putting the brakes onto the growth in teachers’ union cash flow.
Everyone always quotes II Chronicles 7:14 but those same folks always leave out verse 13:
“When I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or command locusts to devour the land or send a plague among my people…
...Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land.
THEN and IF
What I worry most about is the church enduring with their faith intact. Having learned a painful lesson witnessing persecution of brethren in the slums of India - I discovered that as Americans, we have no experience with long-term suffering and persecution, and due to the Prosperity Gospel that has plagued our land - getting angry at God for not saving us out of trials and death at the hand of the wicked is going to shake your foundations, as it did mine.
Head knowledge is one thing - Belief is another. When you are sick and suffering for months with no relief and watching people you love get beaten and killed for nothing more than being faithful to the Lord, is going to test everything you think being a Christian is all about.
When the Lord shuts up heaven, and He sends plague and pestilence on the land - THEN, if we do those things in verse 13, He will hear from Heaven, forgive us and restore our land.
But not before then.
Beware the prosperity gospel.
It HAS been done. The crazy '67 to '79 era gave way to the "reclaiming" of the Reagan years. That things have gone back to crazy since then should offer us a strong reminder not to let it happen again.
Not all christians are actually Christians, or jews; Jews, or republicans; Republicans..

I believe a religious resurgence is just around the corner in the United States, but what worries me about that is that Leftists will certainly do their best to veer that off course.
They will subvert if they possibly can. If they do, folks better look out, because all sorts of things can be done in the name of religion, that are straight from Satan.
If this new effort sees homosexuality as something worth defending, government could become involved and try to force folks in ways they haven’t up until now.
This is just one example of what could go wrong.

Yes, it can be done but to reclaim America will require a highly disciplined organized minority willing to use force if necessary. About 5% of the population if history is any guide; i.e. the French Revolution, American Revolution and Russian Revolution of 1917 all were organized minorities.
That is a promise only to the Jews in their own land, Eretz Yisroel, not to Christians, whose home and citizenship is in heaven.
In the great awakening no one recognized what it was until years after.
Preachers such as Wakefield and Wesley were shunned by established churches to the point they were not allowed into towns but were relegated to preach in fields and pastures and even there were pelted with rotten fruit and stones.
People had to go to them and endure shaming by detractors and even from their own pastors to hear the true gospel.
I believe there is a revival going on right now that is powerful but the establishment church is opposing it because 'they are not one of us / they don't agree with our doctrine therefore they are not of God' attitude.
Praise God He reaches out to sinners wherever they are...

The religious resurgence will be in Asia and the Middle East. America has turned its back on God and will pay the price. The fullness of the gentiles is close. You can almost hear the footsteps of the Messiah.
