No, no, no. The caption should be:

“We found out the lights were out just like the President and the rest of the nation: we saw it on the news. Next question.”

Hillary pulled the plug so she can collect all of those hard drives ‘receiving’ her emails.

She probably has enlisted the help of Sandy Bergler — he knows how to ‘reclaim’ things from archives and secure places.

Explosion causes massive power outage in DC, Md.
http://www.wusa9.com/story/news/local/2015/04/07/power-outage/25411283/

An explosion at a Maryland power plant is to blame for a region-wide power outage that has impacted the White House, the Capitol, the University of Maryland and other buildings in D.C. and Maryland on Tuesday afternoon, according to an official.

D.C. Department of Homeland Security and Emergency Management spokeswoman Robyn Johnson told the Associated Press that the outage affected 8,000 customers in the District.

Southern Maryland Electric Company (SMECO)’s outage map shows approximately 21,832 customers without power. Spokesperson Tom Denison says the outage is due to a transmission line problem. We’re told that the plant where the transmission line failed is located on Ryceville Road in Mechanicsville.

YOu jest - maybe?

But I also had a 10-sec power-out - and I’m in Maine -

so - a test run? For the EMP?

I hope beyond hope this is due to lack of gen=rating capacity because of the shutdown of a coal plant...

Drudge/Washington Post reports explosion at power plant:

D.C. homeland security officials said an explosion at a southern Maryland electrical facility is believed to have caused the power surge that temporarily knocked out power to the White House and much of downtown Washington.

ROFLMAO

but in all seriousness, how much fail does it take to miss the concept of continuous power backup?

seamless switchover to on-site generators is common for large corporate buildings in florida. most (if not all) data centers have supported the concept since the 90s

yet govt workers can’t manage it?

yea... i want these guys handling healthcare and the economy.

Key facilities have backup generators that kick in in seconds. Various reports say the WH lost power for 15-60 seconds which is about the turnaround time to crank a generator in the hot mode.

They should not be without power at this point nor would it have been down for very long.
