Bachelor Nation: 70% of Men Aged 20-34 Are Not Married

(CNSNews.com) – Seventy percent of American males between the ages of 20 and 34 are not married, and many live in a state of “perpetual adolescence” with ominous consequences for the nation’s future, says Janice Shaw Crouse, author of “Marriage Matters.”

“Far too many young men have failed to make a normal progression into adult roles of responsibility and self-sufficiency, roles generally associated with marriage and fatherhood,” Crouse, the former executive director of the Beverly LaHaye Institute, wrote in a recent Washington Times oped.

The high percentage of bachelors means bleak prospects for millions of young women who dream about a wedding day that may never come. “It’s very, very depressing,” Crouse told CNSNews.com. “They’re not understanding how important it is for the culture, for society, for the strength of the nation to have strong families.”

men WANT women to behave like them...to have non consequential sex with NO responsibility...

its called the Playboy philosophy and I can pretty much assure that it started way before the feminists started....it was probably the reason why....

hey guys...you got what you wanted....and now you complain?...

Pure, blue-pill thinking. It's called "the Apex fallacy".

Women assume *all* men, are like the top 5%-10% that the women are sleeping with before marriage. Nope.

A man being "creepy" is merely a man who is not attractive enough, expressing sexual interest.

There are sociological studies showing that the rate of divorce increases greatly for every sexual partner more than the first, that a woman has had pre-marriage.

The other issue, is the "alpha widow" phenomenon: the one man who rocked her world, heart and mind, body and soul -- driving her to a fever pitch and then dumping her.

All her life, decades later, she will still pine for him: he is the standard to whom all others are compared and found wanting.

Google "Five minutes of alpha" and look for Ch****u He******e and Rollo Tomassi's sites and links therein. (The one on 73-year-old Silvio Berlesconi of Italy, seducing the 18-year-old Miss Montenegro and leaving her a near stalker...is just incredible.)

What does a woman want in a man?

A woman wants to meet a man who is strong in himself, confident, unmoved, who will be her oak, her strong rock against the storms of emotion which buffet her life...and change him. :-P

Women (and society) just can’t make the case that marriage is good for men. When I was young few of my friends had divorced parents; that has spread, and now the male “children of divorce” are shying away from it.

Government interference has made marriage a very risky proposition for men.

I don’t know why people can’t just be happy for these unmarried men; they seem happier than the married people I know (and I’ve been married for two decades). I certainly won’t pressure my sons to get married.

Tell a man he isn’t needed and is responsible for all your problems and he goes away. Welcome to matriarchy.

*Very* strong medicine, which will turn your worldview on its head.

As dispensed on the so-called 'Manosphere.'

There are several distinct groups in the manosphere, and some degree of infighting.

The Christians who want women to become virtuous and feminine again, and want to return to traditional marriage, not pedestalization of women as effectively sinless, and all blame put on men;

The Pickup Artists, who cultivate narcissistic traits in order to have sex with many women;

The MGTOW ("men go their own way") crowd, who are hunkering down and devoting themselves to self-improvement and trades and crafts, rather than risk a relationship gone sour and false accusations of patrimony and/or divorce courts.

The best of the Christian sites is dalrock.wordpress.com, and the best of the other sites -- not a pickup artist -- is The Rational Male by Rollo Tomassi, http://therationalmale.com/

Start from those: but it may take literally months or a year for some of this to sink in, and you will PROBABLY want to reject it lock stock and barrel, or you will get *very* angry internally.

RE :” Only works if you find a job near mom and dad.
....
It works even better if you don't find a job. And that's the reality for many graduates who picked fashionable education instead of useful one. “

I have seen a bunch of those type cases however they usually have some job to pay for car insurance and gasoline and maybe eating out with friends, it might just be checking membership cards at a gym/fitness place entrance.

work with women, many young women, and they WANT to get married and most of them want children and they want to stay home to raise them... sadly, their boyfriends have crappy jobs with no security, or they lack ambition, or don't work at all....

Your statement is self-contradictory. If family was REALLY a priority for these women, they would be dating men who were stable providers who also had the same priorities. Not bad-boy losers with no job, no ambition, and no desire for family. They say one thing, and do the opposite. And yes, I have dated many of these kind of women-- they will not commit, behave badly as soon as they are bored, and do not really want a family. I don't think they really know what they want, other than whatever they fancy on any given day.

The men most likely to chat up the women looking for a husband are the basement-dwellers. The basement dwellers have plenty of time to devote to them and are willing to play The Game. The men they really want are at work and are too busy to play The Game.

If the woman would find a good financially-stable man and then devote herself to him, everything would come together. But they can’t help but play the Game.

Certainly resonates with me. I work very hard to make a decent six-figure income, and have a lot of responsibilities in and out of work. I don't have much time for dating, and every time I do I regret it. The fact that most women are looking for "Game", a fake way of pretending to be interesting and have a full life, rather than a person with a real and interesting life who doesn't have time for that bulls**t is frustrating.

Ah, shucks.

Now, these men will never know the joy of waking one morning to find their wife and kids gone, soon followed by a nasty, invective-filled letter from a lawyer, and imminent financial ruin.

I am trying to get my son married off. He is 20 and is the type of person who would work best in a couple.

You would think that I was suggesting that he rape penguins onstage when I mention that it is time for him to get married and that it is wife finding time.

The common culture does not like the idea.

Indeed. And add to that marriage has become a financial catastrophe for men. That anyone is surprised that men are "shying away from" marriage is amazing.

LOL. I'll never forget the pure joy of my first solo trip to the supermarket in 21 years. Kid was grown and finances were separate.

What is that Biblical proverb, “It is better to live in the corner of an attic than to live in a mansion with a nagging wife” .Thankfully, God granted me grace and he gave me a beatiful Norwegian wife at the tender age of 46.
