But I believe some oil has been found in granite

Only naturally fractured basement rock with oil production also in the sedimentary layer directly on top of the cracked granite.

Which could well be true.

True in every case.

Do you understand oil is often found in layers, of different qualities, in the same area with capstone that doesn't allow it to migrate up? Each layer with its own capstone?

Do you understand that using “do you understand” before each of your opinions makes you a manipulative jerk who resorts to mockery to support his supposedly scientific arguments? Do you understand that that inherently undermines the legitimacy of your arguments? Do you also understand that your use of this crude verbal technique to argue by mere implication is not hidden?

Do you understand the crude oil contains microfossils of the the organisms laid down in the sediment from that time period?

...

Ignorance and conspiracies are much more fun.

Russia’s Rosneft said the extended reach drilling was among the fastest ever thanks to ExxonMobil’s proprietary Fast Drill process.

“This well continues successful implementation of our outstanding project. I would like to express my thanks to our partners – ExxonMobil.

...

So this more a story about Exxon than anybody else. I don’t think the sanctions on Putin are doing much good, either.

It is a question. Trying to help provide information starts with knowing the information already obtained.

Sorry you don’t like it.

Do you have another wording you would prefer to see?

So this more a story about Exxon than anybody else.

In my opinion, it is more about Parker Drilling, the contractor that actually had to build and operate the equipment to complete the work.

But then as a contractor to oil/gas majors, my view might be biased.

By the fact, facts are not opinions, regardless of the reader’s ignorance of the subject matter.

Cheers!

It is a question.

Nope, it's a manipulative insult - and you know it.

I’m sorry my words are upsetting to you.

Do you have a better phrasing to ask the question of what information they already have?

Its your responsibility to find a way to somehow not be insulting. I can’t do that for you. Take responsibility for your actions, and if you’re still stuck, go take a communications class.

(But, of course, you’re not stuck, and what you’re writing is a result of many “communications” classes and very deliberate.)

LOL

You might try responding to the words I write, rather than words you think I meant.

Have a great day, God Bless.

You can be a hypocrite, but invoking God to do so is bad taste.

Do you understand that is the only way he knows how to talk to people? Do you understand that it drives his wife crazy?

I am open to suggestions on how to better phrase the question.

I don’t understand how people could have the knowledge of microfossils, sedimentary basins, cap rocks, etc and believe crude oil is sourced from abiotic sources.

So I start there with that information. I’ve had several discussions start from this with people on Free Republic that did not have that information, or understand enough geology to visualize sedimentary layers miles deep.

I tend to be be very literal in communication. I try to be precise and concise in my writing. Some people take that as rude, but that tends to be they add an inflection and meaning that never existed.

Most Freepers consider it quite rude to talk about another Freeper in a public forum with ping that Freeper. Perhaps you see it differently.

Funny, everyone else here seems to have learned this by 4th grade.

I’ve posted here 15,000 times, so I do know etiquette. What I wanted to see was whether your skin was as thick as you demand from others. Thanks for answering.

Funny, everyone else here seems to have learned this by 4th grade.

And yet none appear able to communicate it.

Some come to Free Republic to gain and share information.

Some come just to criticize others.

Each to their own, God Bless

Most people here are able to sound respectful. I guess you don’t agree.
