(Photo by Joe Raedle/Getty Images) Saturday morning, President Obama gave a speech on climate change — to preview a bigger speech on climate change.

In the President’s weekly Saturday morning address, he declared that he’s headed to the Florida Everglades Wednesday — Earth Day — to “talk about the way that climate change threatens our economy.”

“The Everglades is one of the most special places in our country,” the president said. “But it’s also one of the most fragile. Rising sea levels are putting a national treasure — and an economic engine for the South Florida tourism industry — at risk.”

“Climate change can no longer be denied — or ignored,” said Obama.

The rising sea level is why the really wealthy——the folks with insider connections and knowledge-—have ceased building on the world’s shorelines and are abandoning their properties and fleeing to high ground.

Thank Gaia though, that the Sultan travels with a 747 and two or three C17s that do not use any petroleum products.

NASA just came out with their “This has been the hottest 3 months on record since records began back in 1880” crap- so this is really going to spur on the anti-science alarmists

Wish there was someone in the crowd who would yell out a question “How can man’s piddly 0.00137% CO2 In the atmosphere be causing global climate change? Please explain to the folks how such an insignificant portion of the atmosphere can possibly be causing global warming Mr _resident! How much heat is captured by just 0.00137% of the atmosphere sir? Please explain to the people why you are going to steal our money and cripple us financially based on a LIE that you can NOT prove that man is responsible for!”

“Climate change can no longer be denied — or ignored,” said Obama.

"Yes it can, and it will be", says I.

And one fine day, sitting at this desk in the Oval office, while he's still yapping about 'climate change', I hope the first nuke attack Iran launches against the U.S. hits this POS right in the forehead. It would be better than he deserves.

Agreed. Canoeing to a chickee (raised platform - keeps gators and other critters from coming into the tent) is another good way to experience the Glades. There’s tons of wildlife - you just need to visit when they’re most active.

My Dear Mercat,

While in the Everglades, you missed the unique insect life forms dwelling therein.

Did you know that one species of FloriDUH mosquito is large enough to rape turkeys?

While on a bike in teh Everglades, is is interesting to note that wile all indigenous vertebrates have declines except thee alligator, one cohort has undergone a remarkable population irruption.

During the 2/3 century of AgencyPerson management, the population of ParkPersons multiplied manyfold.

Doesn’t that make you remember your Everglades vacation more fondly?

Or not . . . . .
