FAIR DEAL: Once they arrive at a figure for reparations, then the accountants should deduct all the billions of dollars of property damage to cities, lost work/wages and the imputed value of the lives of first responders lost due to race-driven riots stretching from the 1950’s to Ferguson.

Charles Payne is one the good guys that has made a name in investing and broadcasting through hard work. He does not have a college degree and served in the armed forces. Mr. Payne is an American success story.
I think you owe Payne and other FReepers here an apology.

I don’t see how this possibly happens in 2016 as the Republican Congress would never go for it and I doubt even Obama can make it happen by Executive Order. If the Dems want to make it a campaign issue, it might energize their Black (& Moonbat) base, but not one else.
Now, fast forward 30 years to 2046 & beyond. Once Whites are an actual minority in the US, I would not be surprised if reparation payments are voted to every possible minority or victims group. This is really what the “White Privilege” debate is all about. You can’t find overt forms of racism anymore, so you make people ay for the privilege of their skin color.
What about all the white slaves from Ireland and Scotland?
What about all the black slave owners? Are their descendants going to get paid for being slave owners?

I heard his explanation, some years ago, about why he first voted for Obama (historical, etc), I am convinced that Mr. Payne would punch Obama in the snout if he had the chance. He is NO FAN of this president.
I am a huge fan of reparation payments, with this proviso: you get your check on the “dock” as you are surrendering your citizenship. You get your check, but you will take it with you to your Utopia, whether it is the mother ship Africa or whatever.
You can go to Sweden for all I care, but go you will.
The funny thing is, the money won’t go to the actual descendants of slaves; it would go to the leaders of the civil-rights establishment and well-connected blacks in the cities.
For every THREE slaves, one White man gave his life. For every FIVE slaves, loss of life, arms and legs, eyes, property, disease. Reparations were paid in full in the form of blood.
If reparations are an inherited, “race”-based obligation, Africans have net due to the Jews for about 200 years of slavery. I reckon about $40 trillion in unpaid wages, plus over 3000 years of accumulated interest.

isn’t the idea of reparations is to set thing like they were before? So, anyone who takes the cash is also taken back to Africa. Good luck getting their Obama phones to work.
I for one agree with reparations ... I think everyone who actually owned a slave (not descendants of) should pay reparations to anyone who was actually a slave (not descendants of) in this country.
The United States had slavery for about 75 years (blacks worked without pay). Since about 1950 (65 years) many blacks get paid for not working.
A one-way ticket to W. Africa and a renouncement of American citizenship.

That’s the thing. ANYONE who submits a valid, provable claim loses rights to ALL public benefits, present and future, if they accept the reparation no matter what the value of the payout. PERIOD. As for the Saudis and the rest of the Muslims who engaged (at by some accounts still engaging)in slaving, well, that’s their and their slave’s decedents problem, not ours.
