That stupid fat bastard would say that. I can’t stand the guy.

Are you referring to Charles Payne? What's wrong with Charles Payne? He's a conservative.

The estimated $17-20 TRILLION paid since 1964’s “Great Society” commie/socialist/marxist BS, is probably more than enough.

Well, seeing as how you literally KNOW NOTHING ABOUT HIM and OBVIOUSLY DIDN’T EVEN READ THE ARTICLE, it seems like a really well informed and well thought out opinion on your part, NOT!

You’ve really got to question the sanity of this.

The Democrat party already gets 90% of the Black vote.

Imagine the amount of money we’re talking about, and for what?

If they could get even 5% more votes from one tenth of the populace, how much would each of those votes have cost, and what would the overall benefit be?

If you gain 5% from the Black community, you lose 20% from the larger White community.

This is a fools idea of common sense. Admittedly, that never stopped the Democrats before.

The absurdity of all this is the democrat party is run by people of white European ancestry, just how do they expect to come out on top in the long run? Look at Rhodesia, South Africa. This is all literal suicidal insanity.

A local cop stopped by for a visit, one of the topics was a race war possibility in this country. He sees it coming.

And when obama runs for a third term he will get reelected. As Rush said, the GOP would probably just let him run again, do nothing to stop him.

It’s Cruz or lose.

The population of the US was 31 million in 1860, so the death toll in the Civil War represents about 2% of the entire population--but about 8% of the adult men of military age.

If reparations are for slavery, then they should make any black person who claims reparations prove their ancestry back to actual slaves, and require white people to submit their family trees so that only those who had slaveholding ancestors will be required to pay. Of course they will widen the criteria to include Jim Crow and any racial discrimination so that any black person will be eligible, even those who immigrated within the past few years.

If Obama is really going to make this an issue in 2016, the point will be to whip up emotions among African American voters so they will be motivated to vote for the Democrats. Actually getting the money is out of the question. Even the Radical Republicans when they had a veto-proof majority when Andrew Johnson was President did not try to implement the “forty acres and a mule” idea, and any Congress with a Republican majority, even with milquetoast leadership as we have now, is not going to vote to fund reparations.

I’m unconvinced that today’s Republican leadership (wink wink), would stand up to him on a strictly racial matter.

Your logic isn’t flawed, I just don’t think the Republicans would deny Blacks this. They’d be wetting themselves.

The GOP leadership might be eager to submit, but the Congressional Black Caucus and the Civil Rights establishment will demand such an astronomical amount that the idea will fail because there would be no way to come up with the money demanded.

40 million or so African Americans in the country now. If each one was to be paid $25,000 a year, that would add $1 trillion a year to the government's expenditures, but I'm sure Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, and the others would dismiss $25,000 as grossly inadequate.

I could not disagree more. Charles is a decent, hard working American and a credit to the human race.

He is on the right side of all the issues.

Did he advocate for it or merely report it? I've only seen him rarely, but had a generally favorable impression of the points of view he expressed when I did see him.

The war on poverty was reparations. How’d that work out?

We've already paid at least $779 billion, most probably a low-end estimate, since it was published during the Obama administration. Even that low figure is $20,000 for every A-A man, woman and child in America, including the large percentage of those who were actually born in Africa and recently migrated, or who were never descended from slavery; and given that the War on Poverty took place over many years, the buying power of many of those dollars would have been much higher earlier in the program, when there actually were persons who grew up under segregation.

Nor do those figures account for the sacrifices made by universities and employers who, either voluntarily or due to coercive regulation, have applied Affirmative Action programs. Establishing and maintaining the programs cost billions, both administratively and in productivity costs, and so did the many, many lawsuits under those rulings.

What about all the white slaves from Ireland and Scotland?

Yep, I'm English and Celtic, so I'll have to write myself a check. Oh, wait, that would be too efficient. I'm forgetting that the elites want to line their pockets with 80% of any payouts.

You are quite mistaken. Charles Payne reported a prediction of what the left will do. He is a conservatvie and is not advocating for it. Please do not smear one of our own.

I agree with Dr. Walter E. Williams — every living American who ever owned a slave should pay reparations to every living American who ever was a slave.

Has anyone stopped to think, once they get what they demand, they will continue to push until they call for white people to be slaves for 400 years as payback?
