As “careful” as the Hussein Regime has been about AVOIDING US casualties in hostage situations, allegedly aborting missions in an “abundance” of caution, etc, it makes one wonder whether the intended targets were indeed hit.

And the radio reported the hostages were killed in a special forces rescue attempt, not a drone strike.
Maybe that’s what the Theodore Roosevelt was sent for, not just for Yemen’s situation.
This occurred in January. Why are we learning about it now? Was it because the Wall Street Journal was about to report that it indeed occurred that the administration is now trying to get in front of the story? Was it their intention never to divulge that it occurred?
Al Quaida killed these men. Not a drone strike. I know it’s not much consolation for them or their families but I would certainly rather be blown up by my own country while taking out a bunch of those barbarians than dressed in an orange jump suit and beheaded on camera for youtube.
