According to Fox 5 in DC, fans at tonight's Baltimore Orioles were asked by the City's Mayor via message board to remain inside the ballpark due to an ongoing safety concerns as protestors remain in the streets from earlier protest.
In Baltimore than might be very possible, hell the rioters might have been protesting the baseball fans from the heroin addicts that run downtown!
I heard the mayor say that she let the people who wanted to destroy go to someplace to do that. I didn’t hear the same part of her speech on the next newscast, so that’s being scrubbed, I’m sure.

That being said, I wouldn’t want to have my living dependent on Orioles attendance for the rest of this season.
The new stadium for Atlanta is actually in Cobb County just north of the city in a part of that county that is among the richest in terms of commerce, business, hotels, etc. It is basically east/north of the junction of I-75 and I-285.
It will be interesting to see how patrons feel about their safety, etc. when it is finished. I suspect the police in Cobb County will expand their force and they will maintain a visible presence there. Atlanta’s urban denizens are dismayed at this. That and the fact they lost out on the deal up front.

I know what you mean, Kevin. Baltimore has so much potential. Having grown up in the Baltimore suburbs, I loved trips into the city when I was young. Breaks my heart to see what Charm City has become.
OweMalley did not start the problem, but he was determined to let B’more descend further into hell. Enabling drug dealers and welcoming illegals are not policy initiatives that will lead to economic health.
I’m sure you have heard as many stories as I have of ordinary people who tried to make a go of it at rehabbing old houses in the city only to fall victim to robbery and assault and worse. So much potential for a solid tax base down the drain.
I was thinking the same thing, and I am a woman, so I have never been in a fist fight. Would like to see the next few frames.
There is something off about the scene depicted. The guys seated, for instance, with a boatload of empty beer bottles on the table don’t seem to notice a fight right next to them, and the others in the crowd don’t look as if they are seeing any danger coming at them.

Little trustworthy comes out of riots and sudo riots. And I am with you it seemed staged. No eyes focused on the incipient dust up, no on staring at it, no one moving to intervene. Still.... It is Baltimore.

I would hope he could see this haymaker coming. What a mess!
My guess is someone (or a government group) is ‘sweetening’ the pot by offsetting costs - making it cheaper to build the stadium IF it's built in a crime ridden black neighborhood.
Who wins?
The usual vile suspects win - - unions, Team owners (they don't care who shows up because the big money is made selling broadcast rights), black self-appointed ‘leaders’ (ever wonder why there are no self-appointed leaders of other races?? I know...), and white liberal elites.
The people who lose are blacks who live in that community (extra traffic, noise, trash on the streets - with no offsetting benefits - really - how many lower class families can spend $300 for a night out with the kids?). Also middle class people of all races lose - people who might want to attend stadium events - - but are afraid of venturing into black inner city hellholes... and yeah - that includes black middle class families.
