Does Hillary Clinton have a 'trustworthiness' problem?

Does Hillary Clinton have a trustworthiness problem?

We ask the question in that manner because we’re talking here about voter perception of Mrs. Clinton more than our judgment of her character per se. Reports of the appearance of conflicts of interest between her role as secretary of State and foreign donations to her family foundation have generated lots of headlines in recent days. It’s possible that those reports are already taking a toll on her image.

Clintonworld is surely worried that might happen. On Sunday, the Clinton Foundation hit back with a lengthy rebuttal of some of the allegations of problems with the organization’s tax returns. For instance, foreign donations linked to Russian uranium interests went to a Canadian affiliate of the foundation, not the US HQ itself. Canadian law prohibits disclosure of charitable donations without donor permission.

The foundation’s labyrinthine nature may make it more difficult for the media, and hence voters, to follow this money trail. As the explanation notes, the Clinton Foundation has 11 different initiatives, organized in different ways. Much of its work involves wooing donors to give directly to field charities, not the foundation itself.

That means voters’ response to initial (confusing) reports will depend crucially on how voters already feel about Clinton herself. This brings us back to the word “trustworthy.”

If the media would have followed LIZ’s post on FR for the last few weeks the labyrinth of the foundation would not be as confusing.
She told freepers that one big characteristic of money laudering is multiple e mail addresses long before Hillarys email/server fiasco became public.
She also has several good suggestions of things we can do to more the investigation along. What to request from your congressman, FBI etc?

A long time ago, I also investigated money laundering for a government organization. My take on this story is that is the most significant charge against Clinton in a long line of complaints. It makes me wish that the Republicans has occasionally kept their powder dry in the past. Not because there was no basis for previous charges, but because the general public has a short attention span. I believe that the Times and the Washington Post are currently motivated by the possibility that Elizabeth Warren may still change her mind. The minute they lose interest, the general public will look at this as “Just another political attack on Hillary Clinton.”

Good point
Otoh the book hasn’t even been released yet. The Haitian-Russian uranium are just teasers for what’s coming.

Guccifer said he will cooperate with US authorities when the time is right. He also claims to have saved HRCs emails to CLOUD

Congress will get her under oath. Setting up any further testimony in any court for perjury

The closer it is to the primary and nomination the more damage is done to the democrat party. The more damage done the more pressure for her to drop out

Hope that there are many sleepless nights for all Clintons

I believe Fonzie put it best: "Does the Pope live in the woods? Is a bear catholic?"
