The officer that person is speaking of believes that the injuries occurred prior to being placed in the van, but apparently saw no visible injuries or something along those lines.
At this point, I think the autopsy report should show if those injuries came from a beating, or a fall of some sort, or it they could have been inflicted in the van, or self inflicted in the van.
I think that is going to be a very important report.
I also would guess that cameras are going to be placed in these types of vans and other transport vehicles.
If one of the other “passengers” claims to know something they would be stupid not to follow that up too to try to get more clues, but there are motive questions there as well. And why wouldn’t the “passenger” say to someone “that guy you had back here before you chucked us in? he was throwing himself around like a mad man on speed, you ought to check him out.”
If he was injured prior to being put in the van and asked for medical attention he did not get, perhaps when he was in the van, he was banging around like he was to get them to take him seriously.
