All six Baltimore Police officers have been charged in Freddie Gray's police-custody death.

State's Attorney Marilyn Mosby said Gray's death in police custody was a homicide during a long-awaited news conference Friday morning.

Gray's arrest was illegal, said Mosby. The charges include manslaughter, assault and misconduct. One officer, Caesar Goodson, who was the driver of the van carrying Gray, will face a second-degree murder charge.

Gray's arrest was illegal, said Mosby.

So, now it's illegal to chase down and arrest a fleeing felon?

The ‘Queen of Sheba’ mayor is a democrat.

The whole Baltimore city council is democrat.

The police are democrats...

The police Union’s run by democrats.

Al Sharpton’s democrat.

The Baltimore Sun’s a democrat newspaper...

The DOJ investigating this is run by democrats.

The dead criminal was a democrat.

Rioters and looters in Baltimore are democrats...

Last time Baltimore had a Republican mayor was 1967...

We don’t have a dog in this fight.

The six officers must be black. Otherwise, we’d see photos by now...

IF little Freddie had been in prison where he belonged at least he'd be alive today.

With that rap sheet, multiple felony distribution charges, why was he on the streets?

“So, now it’s illegal to chase down and arrest a fleeing felon?”

Fleeing from what? It should not be illegal to remove yourself from the presence a police officer if the officer is not already chasing you and interacting with you. I can see if you’re being detained or questioned and you take off, but not wanting to interact with a cop should not be probable cause in and of itself.

The leadership of Baltimore would be well advised to guarantee a demonstrably fair process in the prosecution of this case or I suspect a great many non-blacks in their cities will begin bailing for more stable and safe climes.

Without probable cause to suspect him of a crime? I would hope so.

I watched her press conference and she seemed like an ANGRY woman! I thought I was going to hear her yell to her spokesperson to have the sinks ripped out of the building behind her to throw at the 6 officers. She really threw the whole police force under the bus to take up for the criminal element of the city. If I were a police officer in that city (especially a white one), my resignation would be on the desk before the day is over. You know in that crime ridden city, the police officers have seen EVERYTHING IMAGINABLE and now the message has been sent that the criminals are victims and the police are evil. I can’t imagine most of the charges she came up with sticking but sounds like this kids family have been big supporters of hers so politics seem to come in to play with these corrupt officials.

Baltimore’s new slogan should be.......

“Come visit Baltimore, we’re safer than 3% of the cities
in the US.”

IF little Freddie had been in prison where he belonged at least he'd be alive today.

If he hadn't been fatally injured in police custody he'd be alive today, too. Let's not lose sight of that.

The supreme court has ruled that in high crime areas the police have the obligation to pursue anyone who flees unprovoked.

Dunno the case name - hafta dig around.

You're the Baltimore prosecutor. You have six officers on whom you have enough evidence to charge them with serious offenses. In addition to trying them, you're likely going to have to retry a boatload of criminal cases where they were the arresting officer because every defense attorney in town is going to use these actions to cast doubt on all their past arrests. The media is going to comb through all the records looking for similar misconduct, so you'll be conducting more investigations leading to more arrests. Heck, I'd be angry too if all this was dumped on me.

Well, bless her heart, maybe she shouldn’t have taken the job if she’s to young, inexperienced and can’t handle the paperwork and duties that go along with the decisions she hands down. If you have to be that angry then you obviously can’t handle the responsibilities of it.

I can't think that too many prosecutors, regardless of expereince, would be thrilled at the poop-storm these six officers have just created.

I see several ways this could play out: the 6 cops are all or mostly minority; they are convicted causing riots; or, they are acquitted, with the result that riots ensue; OR, the six cops are all or mostly Caucasian; they are convicted, causing riots to break out; or, they are acquitted, causing people to start rioting

No one made her take the job. I’m waiting to hear ALL the evidence because I can’t imagine the likelihood of a gang of 6 killer cops just wanting to murder someone. This guy had been arrested TWENTY-TWO times. Not exactly your pure-as-the-driven-snow innocent little victim criminal. But, hey, you go right on making excuses for the leaders of this decades old third world sh!t hole city. Bless your heart.

A known offender found in a drug infested area taking off running (or on his bicycle) at the sight of police is not probable cause?

I couldn't care less that some progressive judge ruled that fleeing is not a crime. If I did the same, would they have let me be? I don't think so!
