Irrelevant.
The issue is the severity of the punishment compared to the miniscule infraction. Try to keep up.
That’s the problem—it does not. Perhaps the worst example of this was Ted Kennedy. He actually killed someone and got away with it.
It is meant to. It isn't even a new strategy. The Soviets called it "Cultural Marxism", and those who did not toe the line were ruined when friends or neighbors (or their own children) reported their "inappropriate" statements.
There are plenty of choices, but my favorite book on the topic is "America's 30 Years War" by Balint Vazsonyi, a Hungarian concert pianist who described how the Left's movement today in American mirrors that of the Marxists takeover of Russia and his home country. (It also does a very good job of sorting out the roots of the Left and Right philosophies, and how the tiny foundational differences lead, inevitably, to the massive schisms we have today, and the war for survival that we are about to endure.)
And we wonder how the Left will fight against 30 million hunters... well, if the military is all-Leftist, I think I see now.
Sailor
Where the heck is Congress? The military is seemingly being gutted, to no outcry from CONgress. Where are they? /rhetorical

The Obama military: Where a career of defending America, dodging bullets and heroic actions are the norm over 35 years, but today where a miscellaneous word taken out of context in front of a candy @ss liberal will kill your career faster than any of the above.
That was the excuse used for getting rid of him. Not the reason, My FRiend.
Obama continues to turn the finest military the world has ever seen into a chickensh*t, PC circus.
Very interesting.
No, what will destroy America is us unwilling to fight back against this putrid nonsense. The more we take it, the more they’ll dish out.
So the question is when do we say ENOUGH IS ENOUGH?
“You filthy, drunken Scandinavian! Do you want to go out and loot a monestary?”
That is always a possibility. When I was younger, they used to call it a one-mistake Air Force, that that typically applied to junior officers. The whole thing seems pretty thin to be, but it is a different time.
It’s Bruth! Bruth!!
A female woman? That’s just little repetitive and redundant.
You have been reported to the office of redundancy office.
Thought crime does not entail career suicide. Thought crime is career suicide.
Since one of the main reasons for punishment is to deter future misconduct, why won’t they release the details of this thought crime?
I’m going to conclude the Obamanites are not embarrassed to do so—they do things that could make a murder of crows blush.
They are concerned about `backlash’ from people who operate crew-served weapons.
