My father-in-law’s Air Force career was derailed by one comment. His comment was that the F-111 would be a failure. That’s life in the military, there is a page you are expected to be on, and if you publicly state you are not on that page you should probably follow that up with retirement.

Inappropriate? What a ...Non-Word. Did he threaten somebody? Slander somebody? Inappropriate , to me is standing in the chow line and purposely letting a fart loose. “OOPS.” sounds like appropriate.

"I hereby demand that we refer to such police vehicles as Rufus Wagons"

Or, you could call them "Thug Wagons".

I had a coworker that referred to Paddy Wagons as Jigaboo Jitneys.

Air Force was upset that the phrase “like drunken sailors” was not used.

“Drunken Irishman” was same thing I was thinking based on it being ethnic and about drinking. I’d say that was overly sensitive on the part of the Air Force. It is now a toss-away colloquial expression.

I’d be heading For Leavenworth for hate speech if I were still on active duty today.
