FLOTUS plays race card: Museums are for white people

First lady Michelle Obama used a speech Monday that was supposed to be celebrating the opening of a new museum to instead dig deeper the racial divide that’s been growing ever wider during her husband’s presidency.

“Museums and concert halls,” she said, just don’t welcome non-white visitors – especially children – the way they welcome whites.

Speaking at the new Whitney museum in New York City’s meat packing district last week, Obama said she grew up thinking that museums were not places “for someone who looks like me.”

Maybe museums are the type of places blacks avoid for other reasons.

Not to you specifically but as general advice based on my posting of it getting nuked, and me getting bounced off the site.

She might as well have said, “Hey Hey Ho Ho, Western Civ has got to go!”

I agree. They should go to the zoo instead.

“Obama said she grew up thinking”
Well WHO taught her that?
AND if she hasn’t out grown it by now, then she should just stay away from those places, cause it must be true.

Well, too much of the old writtings in a museum are in cursive, so we understand.

I am so damn sick of the black crap. God bless every Black conservative - it can’t be easy for you to watch this garbage either.

OMG I can’t stand these race-baiting - woe is me - morons.

.

(I read somewhere the average IQ of a black person is 75. That means 50% are below the number 75.)

That statement is about as ridiculous as BJ's 'I have to pay the bills' and Hillary's 'We were flat broke ...'

What is it with politicians and their families that they have to lie and exaggerate?

Err hmmm, that is very strange, I don’t know what is going on, but I definitely didn’t post anything from South Park.

Michelle Obama’s basically right on this one.

Most museums are the equivalent of private clubs for liberal elites... They open the doors to the public to keep their ‘nonprofit’ IRS party rights. Fashion show and dinner anyone? Think 'private club' - that's run 'tax deductible'... And it's true better museums aren't thrilled with children unless they're on a tight leash...(that part I agree with...)

If children don't know how to act and behave they don't belong in museums or concert halls...

I wouldn't have put it in terms of race or color, but when you reflect that adult admission to Boston's Museum of Fine Arts is $25 ($23 for seniors and students). Philadelphia Museum of Art charges $20 ($2 off for seniors and students). The Whitney charges $22 itself ($18 seniors and students).

True, kids get in free. And there's usually one night a week when admission is free. Maybe I'm just not used to the prices, and in a free market they can charge what they need or like, but I do get the feeling sometimes that these institutions aren't for me, let alone for people substantially poorer.

If Michelle had expressed it that way, she might get more nods of agreement. Of course, you can't go to the museum and say they charge too much. Putting it in terms of race is much more acceptable in today's America.

Ah, yep no problem. I love South Park, and that was a funny episode, but ah, yeah it is a little risque as they say, definitely not something I would want to post, I get in enough trouble around here without that ;O
