Oath Keepers Founder Calls for John McCain To Be ‘Hung By The Neck Until Dead’ (for treason)

For the uninitiated, the Oath Keepers is a group of law enforcement officials and military types whose goal is to uphold the Constitution, unless the government starts getting unconstitutionally tyrannical in their business. With that in mind, here’s one of them calling for Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) to be tried and hung to death.

Via Right Wing Watch comes a video of Oath Keepers founder Stewart Rhodes speaking to a conservative gathering in Arizona. In the middle of his speech, reminding the audience of how Ron Paul delegates were shut out of the 2008 GOP convention he blasted the former Navy captain for his membership in the “GOP good-ol’-boy network.”

Rhodes then said that the “traitor” was “their preordained, anointed candidate who would go along with the program of the destruction of this country”:

He should be tried for treason before a jury of his peers, which he would deny you,” he went on. “He supports your denial of a jury trial, he supported the NDAA saying that he could just have the president slam you into a brig in North Carolina or South Carolina or wherever else he wanted to, try you by military tribunal and have you executed. He would deny you the right for trial to jury — but we will give him a trial for jury, and then after we convict him, he should be hung by the neck until dead! But that was their candidate! The Arizona Senate President Andy Biggs (R) also happened to be there as the keynote speaker, but didn’t quite realize who he was associating with until after Rhodes made his comments.

Not a threat.

but we will give him a trial for jury, and then after we convict him,
he should be hung by the neck until dead!

A fair trial before judgment isn't murder.

But threatening to kill a US Senator is a little too Weather Underground for me.

I draw a distinction between "threatening to kill" a public official and calling for that official to be tried and punished for treasonous behavior.

He does but someone would have to put the noose on for him because he can’t lift his arms that high.

You are correct. People are hanged, meat is hung, and threatening a sitting US Senator with either one is not particularly helpful to our cause.

Big difference in being “hung” and “hanged”.

boys, weeze dealing here with a fellow who used to get lost flying over the Chesapeake; who wrecked at least 5 American planes, who was drunk, disorderly, disheveled, and late or AWOL for his entire naval career. Getting captured by the NVA after some inept maneuvering in his A4 was his chance at rehab. Glad he took it.

IMNVHO, cutting off Oxygen to this guy's brain by hanging would be redundant and take like forever. Ain't never been much O2 up there to begin with. Suggest Kim Il Jung handle it with AAA fire.

Utterly, totally agree with your assessment of Juan McAmnesty.

But Oathkeepers Inc. (all rights reserved)? After their pusillanimous conduct at the Bundy Ranch, never again.

“whose goal is to uphold the Constitution, unless the government starts getting unconstitutionally tyrannical in their business”

Her sarcasm misses the point. The goal is to uphold the constitution always. If a tyrannical government goes its own direction,,, upholding the constitution means opposing that government.

Hence the term, “oath keeper”.

Yep. It’s been “hanged” since Chaucer’s time: “An-hangèd by the nekke-bone.” Clothing can be hung on a hanger. And men can be said to be hung -— tho’ it’s widely considered vulgar to mention such things.

The way I read it was he wanted him to be subjected to a trial, if found guilty, then the appropriate punishment applied.

I think John McCain needs to be removed from office by the voters of AZ.

Well, ANOTHER low-information voter, Lurkinanloomin, wants McCain to be removed from office by the voters of Arizona without putting either a dime's worth or a second's worth of thought to the matter.

People like you, Lurkinanloomin, wanted him removed previously. Well, a group of Conservative people worked and bled and contributed to that effort, but it failed.

How much money and time did you put into that effort, Lurkinanloomin? Yeah. That's what I thought.

Because the people of Arizona are right now blessed with liberal politicians who are chomping at the bit for John McCain to leave office.

One of them is Krysten Sinema, a bisexual woman who has a strong hold on Arizona Distract 15. She soundly defeated a female ex-Air Force pilot in the last election, and she's not going away soon. She's going to make her move as soon as McCain looks vulnerable. With Arizona's Republican backers, he's not going to be vulnerable for awhile, but as soon as he is, Sinema will try to move into his position as soon as she can. And it's going to be difficult to stop her.

The current junior senator from Arizona, Jeff Flake, is a turn-coat traitor who also wants to dump as many Mexican and Central and South American legal aliens in Arizona as he can help get here.

When J.D. Hayworth was running, there was virtually NO financial support from persons such as yourself--and there's a bunch on FR--who are willing to call for John McCain's political demise but offer no money for Conservative Arizona candidates.

So you go shooting your mouth off with bromides about Arizonans dumping McCain, I want to know, where's the help, bub? I haven't seen anything but talk and walk from you guys.

And if your position is, well, it's Arizona's problem, then I think out-of-staters can shut up and get out of the fray.

“I thought the correct term is “hanged” by the neck, nut “hung”.”

If I have a choice...I’ll take “hanged by the neck” over “nut hung” any day!

You have no idea what you are talking about. It was reckless wannabe militia types led by a stolen valor phony Ranger that threatened to turn Bundy Ranch into a Charlie Foxtrot.

“pusillanimous” Damn now that’s a $10.00 word for sure! Did you look that up or was it in a cross word puzzle? Glad your not a Oathkeeper as we need true Patriots in these last few hours of our great Republic. Have never forgotten the moment in Sept. of 1968 when I raised my right hand and took the Oath. I think it still counts and I will keep it or die for it.
