Then when the inevitable vacancy occurs on the Supreme Court, appoint Cruz. This sounds like the GOP-e budget (we'll fix it in 10 years). I doubt Cruz is going to sit still long enough for either to happen.

To me the most important components are having the right Vision and the right positions on the issues. There is very little similarity between how the office of the Presidency and a Governorship are executed. Those who have done both have mentioned that fact.
I like where Cruz wants to lead the country because he is listening to Conservative Grassroots people like you and I. :)

Huckster 2%.
LOL.
As the media tries to foist Huckabee on southern conservatives.

President Cruz could place 2-3 like-minded justices on the Supreme Court during an 8 year term. You may find that the GOPe will change their mind about the President having a right to his appointments.

"As smart as Cruz is, I would rather see a Governor on the top of the ticket in 2016 and 2020 and Cruz as VP." I thought Rush Limbaugh did a good job of refuting the senator/governor meme. He correctly observed that Obama, who never governed, has been pretty successful at destroying the country. Rush asked if anyone really thought Obama would be a better president if he had governed a state.
Of course the answer is no. The ideology of the man is the important factor. Look at what Obama has managed to push through---and he isn't even that bright. Cruz, on the other hand, is a brilliant man, and solidly conservative. He would be able to accomplish much more, and in the right direction.
To date, 16 presidents have been senators; 17 have been governors. Those who governed include Woodrow Wilson, Franklin Roosevelt, Jimmy Carter, and Bill Clinton...which tells us that previous governorship means very little.

I’d rather have President Cruz making the Supreme Court appointments. Why use our Best and Brightest as one of nine and not really in a position to direct the country? Let him appoint those he’s worked with whose abilities he knows.

Just so we are all clear - Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz are not enemies. Focus the battle where it needs to be.
BTW, how big is the FFFC? If there were 25 Cruz supporters, how many were there in total?
