Zuckerberg Ally: Americans Losing Jobs To Foreigners: ‘This Is What...Whole Country Is Built On’
Daily Caller ^ | May 9, 2015 | Rachel Stoltzfoos

A venture capitalist associated with Mark Zuckerberg’s immigration lobbying group Fwd.us insulted American workers who lost their job to foreigners at a recent immigration event, saying they got what they deserved.

“You know, I’m relatively crude on that,” capitalist Lars Dalgaard said at the National Journal event that was partly sponsored by Fwd.us, which lobbies for more legal immigration and a pathway to citizenship for illegal immigrants. “It’s like, if you want the job, make yourself able to get the job, you know?”

Dalgaard, who Fwd.us boasts is one of its “major contributors,” had been asked by the Journal’s Niharika Acharya to respond to concerns about hundreds of American workers who were recently fired by Southern California Edison and more or less forced to train their foreign replacements.

“Like, nobody’s going to hold you up and carry you around the world,” Dalgaard continued.

The problem we face is that to employ an American a company is required to pay an additional 30% in taxes regulations and insurance. I can outperform any foreigner. But not when I cost two or three tmes as much. The only solution is for government to stop treating business as a golden goose. Instead business should be treated like the blessing that it is.

So from what you say, the US government is showing a preference for H-1B visa workers thru regulations/taxes...

I agree that taxes on businesses should be reduced—and incentives for hiring H-1B visa workers should not be allowed!

What is it with the globalist commie people and stockholders who refuse to pay American wages?

Can they not see that the Zuckerbergs of this world take the money saved by NOT hiring citizens and use it to buy our politicians? DO they not care about this nation, it’s sovereignty and it’s citizenry?

Seriously, I hope they choke on their gains while destroying the greatest nation in the world.

Interesting take...I had not thought of it that way.

The comment sounds pretty indicative of both our elite ruling political class and corporate American leadership as a whole. The same scum pushing both open-borders and the homo-fascist agenda.

I’d personally like to douse them all in gasoline and set them on fire.

People without jobs do not pay taxes either. Yet the business community is always whining about being overtaxed.

The middle class used to be taxpayer majority in this nation. So if they want to whine about the business tax, they might just consider how they have destroyed the tax paying middle class. The tax shortfall has to come from somewhere. They need to quit whining.

Yeah and our education system, government bureaucracy, and job market make is SOO easy for millions of poor and lower middle class Americans to do that. This guy is just like the Chamber of Commerce crowd..

Interesting thot...I have heard that there are kickbacks to the H-1B “placement” firms...

How could there not be? The way those offshore companies treat their employees tells us all we need to know about their character; and we already know about the character of our own elected representatives.

Dalgaard is a venture capitalist. I’m surprised he was able to stop looking in the mirror long enough to make his statement.

That’s not really fighting them, but giving them what they want - a Third World style arrangement. In the case of citizens, the false promise of regularization would be given but one would always “fall short” of the criteria.

The way I see it, they want easily managed people with few options. Guest worker programs and freelance/agency workers (in the general case) offer that. The time (not) spent isn’t as relevant as the ability to exert control.

Look at what all that cheap foreign labor did for Microsoft.

They were the biggest tech giant on the planet; controlled practically 95% of the operating systems in home and office, - then missed out on all of the major tech developments of the 21st century ( revamped search engines, digital music, smartphones, tablets, social media ).

“They” are all fighting in an unreasonable economy leaned on by socialists to the point where tomorrow is a huge question.

In the end it is still “we.”

Different firms have different managers and hence different management styles. I found that a particular contracting house based out of India was happy to take me on as a “redneck” with a recently bruised resume (some ventures in a city that their sympathetic manager called cut throat), and to stick up for me out of respect once they came to know me (and I got glowing reviews from customers of the client). Some overseas firms still know honor and respect and diplomacy.

“People w/o jobs don’t pay taxes.........”

We exchanged tens of millions of good paying middle class manufacturing jobs that paid good taxes with lousy service jobs that compete with illegals and get tax credits and food stamps. We have billionaire oligarchs that work to undercut and undermine our legacy culture and our economy to feed their greed and corrupt our officials.

Those that pushed their version of building up Mexico and China, etc at the expense of America need to be in prison for treason.

Yikes. You’re a downer. IMHO there is pretty much nothing a person can’t rise above. Maybe a terminal illness, or being disabled, but if you’re able-bodied and can’t find SOMETHING to do with your life, the onus is on you.

So WHAT if you have to work two part time jobs? Plenty of people do it. I work one full time job, have a job from home, take care of my elderly father, farm on a small scale and soon I’ll be farming full time...while also working part time.

Whiners, Everywhere! Get it together. You’re an American and you live in the last place on EARTH where you can still do this.

Look at our President. For the love of all that’s holy, the guy has never worked a day in his LIFE - and he’s the freakin’ PRESIDENT of the United States of America! LOL!

*SOBBING*

Yes. And I’m very concerned that ROBOTS are going to take over my job. *Rolleyes*

I’m sticking by my initial ‘thots.’ Yours are defeatist in every sense of the word.
