For not wanting to sound elitist, Donny Deutsch came off an awful lot like the denizen of Manhattan and the Hamptons that he is.
On today's Morning Joe, reacting to comments from a focus group of Iowa Republicans who were less concerned about Jeb Bush's policy positions and more concerned about his last name, Deutsch declaimed "I don't mean to sound elitist but it's astounding how ignorant people are."

What would Donny say if he DID want to sound elitist?
Ping to Today show list.
Donny is clearly misspelling his last name...
Well, Donny, could you feed your family if there were no farmers, ranchers and butchers? Can you build a house, repair your car engine? plumbing? electrical?
There are a lot of people in Iowa and across the fruited plain who can do all these things. Sounds like the one sitting in the pundit’s chair of MSNBC is the ignorant one.
He’s missing the point. Bush’s last name is the equivalent of Obama’s blackness. It is not a reason to vote for someone.
So, once we get past the name, why would we vote for him? Is he conservative or part of GOPe, AKA #uniparty?
For a branding and marketing expert, he sure doesn’t know how to be persuasive or convincing.
He’s right.
Over half the voters in the last election voted for Obama.
Equivalent question -
If Obama were a Marxist Muslim illegal alien bent on the destruction of America,
how would his actions be different than what he’s currently doing?
His is an elitist lib.
Yet MJ played a clip of Mark Halperin with dedicated Dem voters asking them to name a single accomplishment of Hillary in the State Department, and not one could, and they said they didn't care about that or the Clinton corruption. .
They basically said that they are support Hillary because the Clinton's always beat Republicans at everything ,and Hillary is a ‘strong woman’.
No doubt that he clearly is ... and a fractionally "black" racist to boot.
See, that’s what the question is supposed to reveal - that his actions belie what the left denies he is.
Hes missing the point. Bushs last name is the equivalent of Obamas blackness or Hillary!’s vagina. It is not a reason to vote for someone.
I hate to say it but he has a point. Yesterday, they had a focus group on Hillary which was shown on Morning Joe. The group praised her work as secretary of state and then Mark Halprin asked them to name her successes - not one could name any. It was so obvious they didn’t know what they hell they were talking about. In fact, one named “Benghazi” as her major success.
They were just Democrat robots.
Hillary knows how to keep her brain-dead supporters from straying off the reservation.
CASE IN POINT: The craven Hillary finally deigned to answer media questions.......Fox's Ed Henry seemed jubilant that he nailed her---getting to ask hot topic questions about the nefarious Foundation, and her emails from Blumenthal that she tried to keep hidden.
But Hillary played Ed Henry like a violin.....as she mocked him in dulcet tones.
A CONSERVATIVE THINKING LIKE A CLINTON IS NAUSEATING BUT IT MUST BE DONE: Hillary's mocking answers were calculated to keep her supporters enthralled.....b/c she knows they hate Fox News, "judgmental" Republicans, and they don't give a fig that the Clintons got filthy rich using the corrupt Foundation.
I believe the T is silent, JR. :)
People like him struggle to even make a cup of coffee. Their only ‘skill’ is talking.
The guy’s a yawn..
“Its all coming from right wing attack groups” , (right wing like the NYT ??)
“its a double standard, no-one else is having these same questions asked to them. Is it because she is a woman?”
(yep, no one is asking Ted Cruz about his private email server.
If he said as the limited information in the excerpt stated that "people are LESS CONCERNED about his policy positions and MORE CONCERNED about his last name, then he is pretty much saying the same thing as you are except perhaps a little less crassly.
