I was once a Scout. Great memories. But I’d not let any son of mine near the BSA these days.
He promised he wasn’t going to pursue this. But, that’s what you get when you hire a spy.
So the new, “gay-friendly” Scouting program will need to make wholesale changes to the Boy Scout Oath, which in its present form exemplifies patriotism, faith in God and moral straightness.
Very sad, but we all knew the darkside set out generations ago to make inroads against our children, and they’re now having monumental success. I can see the mission of the Boy and Girl Scouts slowly morphing into an extension of the progressive movement.. one in which their mission and practices will become more aligned with the communist “Young Pioneers.” Fealty to socialism will trump any loyalty to families, the nation or to God. Membership will no longer be optional... it will be mandatory.
Here’s a lesson for every body. YOU DO NOT “COMPROMISE WITH EVIL, IN ANY FORM”. Oh the BSA can make any “RULE” they want, but what happens when no body wants to follow those “RULES”.

I have two sons several years apart. The first went through cub scouts and about half way through boy scouts before he decided he was over it. My youngest is cub scout age and I would not think of allowing him to join the organization now.
If? It's a done deal. All the hand wringing and "discussion" is just theater.
The sodomites don't mention a possible policy change unless they already have their operatives installed to pull the strings.

What happens when a Leader molests a Scout on a camping trip? Statistically it will happen, and only needs to happen once.
BSA will be sued into oblivion. Very publicly sued into oblivion. It’s going to be hard to argue before a jury that enough safeguards were in place to prevent such an occurance.
It’s at that point where, thanks to negative publicity, membership and sponsorship will implode. AND their insurance rates will skyrocket. Assuming they can find insurors willing to provide coverage.

We were also asked how we felt about gay leaders. The response was entirely negative.
