U.S. Sen. Thad Cochran, R-Miss., has married longtime aide Kay Webber.
In a statement released Monday, Cochran's office said the marriage took place privately Saturday in Gulfport. Spokesman Chris Gallegos says Webber, Cochran's executive assistant, has worked for him since 1981.
The 77-year-old senator's former wife, Rose Cochran, died in December at age 73 from dementia after living in a nursing home for 13 years.

Now that he's been safely reelected and his wife is dead, he can marry his mistress.
No need for the sham anymore!

Faithless a**hole. What part of “until death us do part” didn’t he understand when he began fooling around with his secretary, long before his wife was even diagnosed with dementia?
To: cotton1706
He doesn’t have to rent that room in her basement any more.

Sham is over, indeed. She wipes the dribble off of his senile face, so I’m sure she feels entitled to “the title”.
