Maybe because God had other plans than “we” did.

“We” substituted worldliness for godliness. “We” are drinking from the cup of that wicked brew now.

And no “we” can’t exorcise the problem by working up the usual wrath on the demon du jour. Because it’s “us” in that demon picture frame.

The MSM does not know economics and their world view is false, but give them their proper due. They have a powerful ideological sense and can smell a true conservative from a great distance. Hit pieces on Cruz mean that he is the man they hate and fear. Go Ted!

When we tolerate "ESTABLISHMENT REPUBLICANS" WHO REFUSE TO DEFEND "FREEDOM OF RELIGION" and ALLOW GOD to be pushed out of schools,
Were we not warned?

I'm still not sure how they got weapons. Were they handed over by us before, after,
or taken from a Warehouse or the Embassy?

I keep hearing weapons but nowhere does anybody say how they got them.

Yeah, a lot of people are upset with him on Fast Track.

For those who are passionate about the issue, the anger is certainly justified- I’m not very keen on these trade deals either.

But, from a different angle, the guy voted for what he believes in, even though he had to know that it was going to tick some people off, and potentially, cost him politically.

That’s got to count for something.

The real freedom of religion has been in our hearts, ever since the cross of Christ.

We have pretended it was tied to externals.

Christ warned about THAT.

The stranger we should not set over our private hearts is the idol of a government.

And the countries participating look to get an anti-commie innoculation. As opposed to the BRICS. I trust Ted, he’s not going full throttle without time thought into these decisions.

And he is not available to buy off. The Secret part stresses me, but I’m patient to see how that plays out.

I don’t know the answer to your question, but perhaps this article by Ted Cruz in the Washington Post defending his position will help.

Here is what Cruz actually said and in context:

Sanctions on Putin for Ukraine: tyrants respond to weakness

Q: On Russia’s invasion of Ukraine:

CRUZ (VIDEO TAPE): A critical reason for Putin’s aggression has been President Obama’s weakness. That Putin fears no retribution. You better believe Putin sees in Benghazi four Americans are murdered and nothing happens. There is no retribution. You better believe that Putin sees that in Syria, Obama draws a red line and ignores the red line.

Q: (ON CAMERA): So how would you stand up? What would you do? Military action?

CRUZ: No. No, look, not at all.

Q: Sanctions? Would you do sanctions?

CRUZ: Absolutely, yes. There are a host of things we can do. Let’s rewind the clock a little bit. #1, don’t demonstrate weakness for five years. We have seen historically over and over again tyrants respond to weakness. We keep making that mistake with Putin. Putin is a KGB thug. When the protests began in Ukraine, the president should have stood unapologetically, emphatically for freedom. And when the US doesn’t speak for freedom, tyrants notice.

They’re very scared. Cruz has the principals, the brains, the support, the grass roots, and the money.

Word.

Now if he could just not vote to give Obama friggin fast-track trade agreement authority, everything would be peachy-keen.

The best I can make of this is that nobody ever authorized unilateral action against Syria. Cruz said that Obama should have take the matter to the Security Council, and what he opposed was Obama taking unilateral military action based on his “red line.”
