You are correct about do-overs in combat but most of the male washouts get a second chance dependent on which parts of the program they failed and why they failed.

A second time around will produce the same results.

If a woman can meet the criteria, pass the course, and maintain that level of training, fitness, and proficiency standard then fine but I would expect that few will actually be able to do that.

Now, weakening the standards is another matter that should never be allowed to happen.

“Now, weakening [lowering] the standards is another matter that should never be allowed to happen.” While I agree, unfortunately, it has happened in many cases, the first of which - to the best of my knowledge - was dual standards for PT tests. One wonders what might happen when they get to peer evals; no recycles for Ranger candidates who are peered out...
