Jill Dillard: "They're used to exploiting women."
In an interview with Fox News host Megyn Kelly that ran on Friday, two of the Duggar daughters who were victims of their brother’s inappropriate sexual touching called out the magazine that illegally released the records that not only revealed the identity of their brother Josh (who was a juvenile at the time), but also indirectly identified the victims.
Jill Dillard, the second daughter of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, told Kelly that she suspected there might be an agenda behind the story. “I mean, I know that the tabloids that released this, even have — you know, they’re used to exploiting women. They have the parent company –”
“Well, Bauer…they’re a major porn provider…” her sister Jessa Seewald interrupted.
“So I don’t know if they are — maybe their mindset, they’re just used to making objects out of women and maybe we just didn’t seem any different,” Seewald continued.
Jill and Jessa are members of the conservative Christian family that has been featured in the reality TV series 19 Kids and Counting, and the young women are spot on about the background of the company that publishes In Touch magazine.
Bauer Media Group, based in Hamburg, Germany, publishes 600 magazines, over 400 digital products, and 50 radio and TV stations around the world, including In Touch magazine, the publication that uncovered the story of the abuse in the Duggar home. They also traffic in porn — some of it Nazi-themed., as you’ll see on the next page.

These lend perspective to Bauer’s legal woes in the United States, including a $50 million defamation lawsuit by Tom Cruise, filed last October after two U.S.-based publications alleged he’d abandoned his daughter Suri. In fact, Bauer generates dozens of legal complaints worldwide each year about invasion of privacy or libel, according to a lawyer who has frequently opposed them.
The Duggar sisters are absolutely correct. In Touch and Bauer Media Group make money, in part, by exploiting women and trafficking in content that sexually objectifies women. The young women in the Duggar family who were victims of sexual abuse by their brother were victimized a second time by a magazine that treated them, not as accidental collateral damage in their honest efforts to report a legitimate news story, but as an integral part of a business model based on sexual exploitation of women. They exploited the sexual abuse suffered by the Duggar sisters for money, pure and simple. And they’ve done it with countless other women over the years. Disgusting.

They did NOT take him to the cops at 14/15. They took him to talk to a friend who just happened to be a cop.
Who wrote nothing down. And never filed a report.
And apparently lied to the state cop about what happened and how many times...(who’s in prison for kiddie porn..who to believe...who to believe, sad when you have to ask that of ‘Christian’ parents)
When the parents flat out lied to Megyn the other night, hubby said ‘we’ were done with them. It was WAY more than just ‘over the clothing while they were asleep and no one knew till Josh confessed in tears’. WAY more. Provable lie. In front of the entire viewing audience.
What they SHOULD have said is ‘we won’t go into any details about what happened to spare the victims further embarassment’. But they didn’t do that, they insisted that the initial behavior was the only thing that happened. In spite of the police report containing actual felonies.
The whole interview schtick was to save their brand. Nothing more.
My VERY fundy relative thinks this whole thing is God’s chastisement for putting the family on TV (in general) and especially instead of dealing with the problem at hand at that time.
I think Josh dodged a huge bullet with this coming out. Had he stayed in DC and ended up an elected official somewhere he could have been ‘played’ with this like Hastert apparently was. For the rest of his life.
As for the girls, their hubbies are both dependent on JimBob for their standard of living at this point. I’ll wait till (if?) they’re ever truly independent to form an opinion. And the 2 girls interviewed, if the police report was any accurate description of what actually went on, were the LEAST ‘inappropriately touched’ of the whole bunch. And even they were guilty of half and partial truths in the interview.

This is not a witch hunt.
We know that at age 14 or 15 Josh touched his much younger sisters’ vaginas.
We know this from the police report and what the Duggars have said in the media.

Graham has a lot of liberal leanings that don’t get much press including the fact that he believes in infant baptism.
Why not use this opportunity to help people understand how believing in and practicing heresies from the cult of Gothardism can lead to this tragedy?

Why not, like Paul, confess you are the greatest of sinners? It is a simple thing to condemn. It takes the strength of Christ to encourage sinners.
Perhaps I'm wrong; I read that they removed Josh from the home to stop the molestation. I do not consider refusing to turn a teenager over to law enforcement as necessarily condoning: as parents they made the call to move him out in hopes of saving him. Turning him over to law enforcement seems advisable when one rebels to the point they cannot deal with the situation themselves, or if one would like to stage a death by cop production. It was a horribly tragic situation all around, yet it seems, on the surface, that the remedy worked and the sisters love their brother and want him to live and not die. It could have gone the other way. If your view is every crime by a teen should be reported to the authorities, and when it is not, the parents are condoning illegality, then you are consistent, and a loyal citizen of the state, cannot argue with that. You do practice that in your family and neighborhood by reporting all criminal activity, correct ?

What should be done now with all these women (and men), murderers and those who condone them ? Out them, shame them, tag them, arrest them, execute them ?
If you witness a crime taking place and do not report the crime, you are condoning the actions of the perpetrator.

You can’t encourage the Duggars because they have surrounded themselves with the accoutrements of fame.
However, you could warn other of the pitfalls of the Gothardism and thereby perhaps encourage many.
Throughout history God has allowed enemies to conquer His people for various reasons.
Perhaps the hubris of the Duggars had grown too much for even God to bear and he used the fags to take down the Duggars.
