We are all sinners — the Pharisee and Tax Collector alike. It is a shared condition and not secret.
We lie to ourselves about it, and you too (you can’t say who’s this “we” white man).
Therefore, yes a secret.
But there is another extreme, and that is to use it to personally lord it over people. That is how “religion” got to be viewed as a dirty word.
