On May 25, officers with the Crowley Police Department busted through the front door as a family was sitting down for Sunday dinner.
Footage from an officer’s body cam was eventually leaked to the press, showing the home’s owners, well-known attorneys J. Clay LeJeune and his wife Mitzi Mayeaux, engaged in a dispute with the officers. It quickly turned ugly, with LeJeune receiving the business end of one officer’s Tazer. Both were arrested and later indicted by an Acadia Parish grand jury on charges of public intimidation, retaliation and resisting an officer with force of violence.

I’d guess Louisiana, based on “Acadia Parish” being the legal venue mentioned. As far as I know, all states except Louisiana divide their land into counties and territories.
I am really coming around to the view that any police officer involved in an arrest that does not result in a conviction should be suspended without pay for a week. Basically if you impose costs on a member of the public when no provable crime was committed you should have a greater cost imposed on you.
Serious financial costs would lead to more circumspect behavior by the police who seemingly use arrest as punishment because they don’t like someone.
I'm guessing Louisiana, given the ethnicity of the surnames alone.

I have not followed this story, but FYI, the Independent magazine out of nearby Lafayette, La. is a very very LIBERAL magazine (Obamacare is great nonsense). Just saying.

Crowley, LA is in Acadia Parish on IH-10 some 50+ miles east of the LA/TX border.
An earlier story says this all started when a neighbor heard yelling coming from their backyard and called 911.
Stupid neighbors have caused a lot of people a lot of trouble.

Did any of the charges stem from other than incidents that occurred during the arrest?
