This is one of the red-flags I have been waiting for..... when the authorities start attacking the attorneys.
We have months, maybe weeks, left.
What state is this in? Texas? Some other state? I can find no mention of the state even on the link.
This is Louisiana. Crowley is where Edwin Edwards is from!!
What was the imminent danger that led to a forcible entry by armed police into this family’s home?
Lucky they did not have pets or they would have been slaughtered in front of the family
Chilling.
public intimidation?
Did any of the charges stem from other than incidents that occurred during the arrest?
“Public Intimdation”?
What a bunch of gutless cowards these storm troopers are.
Question
What is the PDs side of this? Why were they there? Don’t think they would break into a house without some reason, even a bad/stupid one.
Note that the statement is all about the illegality of the search. No mention of why or what was found.
Inquiring minds......
I like Crowley, used to go to the rice festival every year there...and Rayne for the frog festival. Great thing about Louisiana, every town has their own festivals. Nothing beats Contraband Days in Lake Charles though.
The neighbor called 911 and said they heard a girl screaming “Help Me!” from the house. That is why the police responded. It turned out later that it was the daughter yelling for her father to help her catch the dog.
Regarding how much the police were overreacting to the homeowner not cooperating, I would want to read a more balanced report than from a progressive rag.
Crowley is located in southwest Louisiana, right on Route I-10. It is also the Acadia Parish seat where the Parish Court House is located. It’s often referred to as the Rice Capital of the World. (tongue in cheek).
I wouldn’t use the Independent to line my birdcage, talk about a liberal rag. You will not get the police department’s version of the event in this paper. The largest paper around, The Lafayette Daily Advertiser, is also a liberal rag of the Gannett News species. We have no printed conservative news in Cajun country despite the area being one of the most conservative voting blocks in the United states.
Maybe I missed it but...
Is it too much to ask of the article for a link to the video that is talked about and a reason why the cops were there in the first place?
