And once more, I take this as evidence that Walker knows what he is doing. This is why he wins. He focuses on priorities.
Doing what Jesus would do makes more sense.
Focus on what belongs the Cesar?
Maybe but he just got marked off my list. He has been hanging out at the bottom of the list anyway.
It is not necessary to say some issues are more important than others amongst very important issues. If he were to say “Who hosts the soccer games is not important” then okay. But he is saying extremely important issues should not be focused on.
I know all I need to know about him. I am not alone. But hey, you never know. It worked so well for McCain and Romney.
Yep, focus on the battles you can win easily before you take on the tough ones.
Tell that to the baker who got punished financially by the govt for practicing her faith.
I will never vote for a candidate who does not actively support the social issues.
Not negotiable.
And there are millions like me.
Fiscal and economic issues are always issues #1 and #2, The challenge is staying focused and not allowing the media created social issues to drown them out.
Can't make the difference unless you get into office.
agreed- if you win the economic battles and, more importantly, get positive results from those victories, the rest will be easier...
Yep. The Culture War is over, and we got routed. Better to focus on areas that are still winnable.
Let’s see, if I can get a job, that’s economics, if I can’t get a job, that’s social justice. Quite an interesting (distinction without a difference).
Has he not made bold enough social issue statements?
Ban abortion after 20 weeks at both state & federal level. (Mar 2015)
Passed pro-life legislation & defunded Planned Parenthood. (Mar 2015)
Supports Personhood Amendment prohibiting all abortions. (Feb 2015)
I’m proudly pro-life, but focus on fiscal issues. (Dec 2013)
Protect life from conception to natural death. (Nov 2010)
Opposes federal abortion funding. (Aug 2010)

If they do that, the GOP is toast. They have gotten a lot of votes on the social issues over the years. Only about 25% of the country supports their current crony capitalist, Chamber of Commerce economics.
I agree with your post #10.
This was not a bold social conservative statement, except in the sense that he was admitting, just what he said, and what conservatives feared about him.
[Prioritizing economics over social issues is just smart politics]
Seems like I’ve heard that mantra before. It goes along with the “vote for the lesser of two evils” pitch by the GOP leadership.
Social Issues is what defines America’s heart and soul. Standing firm on God’s Word takes courage. Prioritizing economics over social issues is a coward’s way out.
