Former Gov. Mitt Romney (R-Mass.) said on Sunday that Republicans should not doubt the conservative credentials of possible GOP presidential candidate Jeb Bush.
Romney argued that Bush, Florida’s former governor, would proudly represent conservative values should he seek the White House in 2016.
“Governor Bush is a man of integrity,” Romney, the 2012 GOP nominee, told host Chuck Todd on NBC’s “Meet the Press.”
“He has very strong record,” he said. “He doesn’t have to speak his way into conservatism, he’s lived conservatism.”
Romney’s praise comes as Bush weighs an Oval Office bid next election cycle.
He is expected to formally launch his campaign on Monday from Miami.

I have not picked any republican candidate at this time. i am not scared of many on FR. I am a conservative and saw what happened to Romney. I saw the conservatives refuse to vote and Odumbass became the winner by default because 3 - 4 million conservatives did not vote. Funny anyone on Free republic whom questions Cruz is automatically deemed troll. Funny is it not! I served this country and fought in Lebanon and was placed in a wheel chair after the barracks was blown up. after 36 surgeries i walk once again, but have the after effects of having been throgh the grinder to be able to do alot I fought so someone like you can have the ability to bash others about whom they think is best for America. i just do not think Cruz is the right person at this time. In 1984 I was able to vote for Reagan, I voted for George HW Bush, I voted for George W. Bush and I voted for Mitt Romney so that makes me a RINO. In my district I voted for Dr. Dan Benishek. well I have to go now because I have to take care of my mother whom suffers from Alzheimers Disease.
Then tell me, if Cruz isnt the right one, then who is?
the answer is I do not know right now. Like I said I have to get back to taking care of my mother. I am one of 6 children and no other siblings help to take care of her. I have a business - counseling - that others are running - so I can take care of my mother whom has Advanced Alzheimer’s disease. i strive to keep her at home as long as possible - bathe her, feed her, dress her and do so much more. But I also serve as a member of the Zoning Board of Appeals, Watershed Protection Committee and Advocate for many others for the City to deal with 50 years of neglect of Blight.
So convince me that Cruz is the right one!
