At the end, I slit his throat. That probably earned him an extra 3-5 years, or possibly even the guilty sentence itself.

Just when did this happen?
The man looks a bit old. Looks like it was ages ago.
I think the punishment is OK, considering “extenuating circumstances”. Not sure we can go around supporting detached revenge, before that spins out of control and it starts happening left and right.
But certainly the punishment can be basically a “slap on the wrist”, especially if there is no other history.

Well unless the prosecutor is a legal idiot as well as socially clueless I would think he would have immediately objected to any such unfounded testimony and had stopped it and had it stricken from the record.

He was probably a cub scout when the molestation started at age 8 and graduated to boy scout when he was 11.

Ex-Boy Scout: I killed troop leader who raped me Works for me. Actually I still don't think the scale of justice is yet balanced. Other people likely need some pain for allowing this situation.

Um... you cant be a Boy Scout when youre 8. Eleven is the entry age.
Yeah, 8 is cub scouts, then 10 is Webelos, then 11 for Boy Scouts, if I remember correctly.

Suspect lazy reporting by a ‘reporter’ that knows nothing about the BSA, let alone a Cub Scout.

That’s a hate crime. Sodomites are allowed to be in the Boy Sodomites of America, right?

Exactly. The torturing and killing animals story seems a bit contrived too.

That and the snorting coke before going on his murder rampage.
I wonder is there any evidence the scoutmaster did this other than the claims of a drug addict killer.
To: lowbridge
Sounds like a case ripe for jury nullification. Killing your rapist is completely understandable.

What evidence is there that what he says is true? Well there is that long string of similar accusations stretching back decades that the (not dearly) departed used his law enforcement position to slide out of.

Exactly. The torturing and killing animals story seems a bit contrived too.
From what I’ve read, it’s a common tactic used by serial molesters. They threaten to do the same to the victim’s parents if they tell anyone.

Prosecutor Francis Koch said his office has agreed to a sentence of five-to-ten years because of the aggravating details of the crime. 5-10 years....who was this guys attorney???? I think a good 1st year law student could have demanded a justifiable homicide plea....
