Republican presidential candidate Jeb Bush a fluent Spanish speaker told ABC "World News Tonight" anchor David Muir in Spanish Wednesday that he and his wife, Columba, speak "more Spanish than English at home."
"Our grandkids, almost all of them speak Spanish, two of them also speak a little Arabic," the former Florida governor added in Spanish.
Columba Bush, Florida's former first lady, was born and raised in Mexico. The pair fell in love when Jeb, then 17, studied abroad in León, Mexico.
Heres a translation of Muir and Bush's conversation en Español -- which also touched on immigration reform:
MUIR: Si usted es electo presidente, en los primeros cien días cúal sera su primera prioridad? If you are elected President what will be your highest priority during your first 100 days?
BUSH: The most important thing is to improve the political climate in Washington and to start to work across party lines. Re-establish relations between Democrats and Republicans. Second it is important to have people in positions of power in the executive branch who will work to better the situation in each branch/department. And then formulate plans with congress a plan for immigration reform, an energy plan for the country, a plan for tax reform. And change the mentality that Washington has to be (has to have) the solution for everything. We've seen that fail.

I will NEVER vote for that canned ham faced wannabe Mexican.
And he wants us to do the same
By the way, Jebster, we DO NOT want to turn the USA into North Mexico. Take your wife back to her country instead of moving her country here.
Yeah, let’s just go ahead and vote for this guy to stop Hitlery.
At least Hitlery speaks English consistently, albeit in various dialects — Ah’s in now ways tahred, etc.
From the looks of George P. Bush, the oldest son, looks like Jeb might want to talk to Alfredo Garcia.
Why would a bush child speak Arabic? And to whom?
Pander much, jeb?
Lol!
I'll bet that is true. He does not speak with the strength of principle that Americans respect. Jeb is a watered-down version of a progressive democrat making believe he is a republican..
No way will I vote for Jeb.
No, what you speak is BS.
Won’t get my vote in a Million years.
How pathetic. If he loves to make guacamole dishes on tv, why doesn’t he just put out a cookbook and leave off being prez.
When I met and married my wife, she spoke no English at all, but I was fluent in Vietnamese. My wife decided that to successfully live and work in the USA, she needed to speak English. We gradually switched over a two year period from speaking Vietnamese to speaking English in our home. You cannot prosper in the USA unless you speak English.
How do you say, “I call bullsh*t!” in Mexican?
Good. You can hire them to translate for your Mooselimb Brothahood cabinet members.
He should run for president in mexico then.
Hey amigo, my wife, Mrs. Texicanus, speaks Spanish too. She calls me a “pandejo” from time to time. Ain’t it great when a household speaks more than one language.
That’s supposed to make him MORE ATTRACTIVE to Conservative voters????
It’s true. Jeb speaks Spanish a lot in his home...
Dije que quiero que mis camisas almidón medio Consuela . Será mejor que lo descubrió o su burro en la siguiente a Guatemala.
“Cabron.”
Pinche Cabron!
(There, fixed it!)
I’m going to write in “Cruz” no matter what!
