That is part of the playbook the RNC has been using for at least the last two nominations. They have nominating designated losers down to a science.

The biggest surprise to me is that Jeb still calls himself a republican. He has “evolved” to pretty much all the democrat positions. He could switch parties and not skip a beat.

It's not just Jeb. Most of the Republican Party has moved in the same direction. Today's mainstream Republicans adopt the positions of mainstream Democrats from 20 years ago, while today's mainstream Democrats adopt the position of yesteryear's fringe radical left. Boehner and McConnell are probably no more conservative than Tip O'Neill.

That could be in some places but I suspect that in most it is not. I do not believe that McCain and Romney lost because they were too conservative.

The guy is a far leftist no different from Pelosi or Hitlery or any other far left wacko. Why the Republican party allows this fool to pose as a Republican is unreal, but it just goes to show how far left the Republican party has strayed.

I have to take exception - both parties have move so far left that JFK would probably not qualify to be a Republican in today's culture. For goodness sake there was talk about how could JFK possible win since he was a - are you ready - A CATHOLIC.

I know that no party represents me or my beliefs in 2015, so I am DONE VOTING.

The point to me is that Jeb and Hillary have pretty much the same positions on many major issues. Regardless of where the parties are today, Jeb sounds much more like Hillary than he sounds like Walker or Cruz.

>>The biggest surprise to me is that Jeb still calls himself a republican. He has “evolved” to pretty much all the democrat positions. He could switch parties and not skip a beat.

He is a Progressive Republican, which is only a slight difference from a Progressive Democrat but there is a difference.

This the Europeanization of American politics. In Europe, both sides are Socialist because Socialist is assumed to be the only way to govern. So you have the Right, which is Nationalist Socialist (not necessary National Socialist, by any measure) and the Left is Globalist Socialist.

In the “new normal” for America, both sides are Progressive, but you have the Corporatist Progressives, which are the Republican, and you have the Communist Progresssives, which are the Democrats.

The only difference is, “who do you want your master to be?” For the CorpProgs, it is the multinationals and banks who will be your master. For the CommProgs, the government will be your master and they will rent you to the multinationals and banks.

As far as I can tell, most of the big bankers and corporatists in this country back the democrats.

Yes, because the Democrats are moving faster towards their Progressive dream. The Dems also don’t pay as much lip service to “outdated notions” such as individual freedom and actual free markets.

But, the Republican politicians are on board with the Prog agenda and their actions (when they aren’t trying to convince the little people that they stand for us) are all designed to make the Corporatists and Bankers know that they are for them (and not those pesky little people).
