Chief Justice Roberts affirms: ObamaCare was poorly written
Fox News.com ^ | June 25, 2015

While Chief Justice John Roberts delivered a blow to ObamaCare foes with a majority opinion upholding subsidies, he backed up the law's opponents on one point: The language in the Affordable Care Act was kind of a mess.

"The Affordable Care Act contains more than a few examples of inartful drafting," he wrote.

A question for anyone: Did anyone point out to the court what Gruber said about the way the law was written regarding subsidies?

“...What’s important to remember politically about this is if you're a state and you don’t set up an exchange, that means your citizens don't get their tax credits—but your citizens still pay the taxes that support this bill. So you’re essentially saying [to] your citizens you’re going to pay all the taxes to help all the other states in the country. I hope that that's a blatant enough political reality that states will get their act together and realize there are billions of dollars at stake here in setting up these exchanges. But, you know, once again the politics can get ugly around this. ...”

It seems to me this is more than a mere technicality. It is a main component of the law.

Wouldn’t he have to have read it to make that statement?

Inartfully written or purposely vague?

...

Apparently, if Congress writes a bad law, then later they and the dictatorial president can make it up as they go along, so I expect to see all law done this way from now on.

These fools will open the pandora’s box completely now. A psychiatrist told on TV that now the mentally ill and physically ill and special nutty groups like gays have made lobby groups that resemble the cults of antic Greece, scaring psychiatrists and experts away when they offer treatments they do not like.

Healthy people, healed by Christianit, have zero representation in congress. It is a complete mess.

The spiritual part of me knows that, but the intellect will still attempt to find reasons.

Roberts is an idiot. The law was purposefully written that way so as to delay the Marixist proletariat medicine mandate. Liberals half assing their hell so Roberts can fix it for them like an idiot.

So the government doesn’t have to follow its own rules because they write those rules poorly?

That has terrifying implications.

John Roberts is BUSH appointee. “Dubya” Bush. The same “Dubya” who never vetoed a Federal Budget; was the first president in US history to sign a $2 TRLLION budget into law; and also the first president to sign a $3 TRILLION federal budget into law - and therefore make the new baseline that much that’s required to be spent in each succeeding year. Get with it folks - the Bushes are Democrats with R’s next to their name. And so much of what they do publicly shows us that.

The current Chief Justice and the current Pope have a lot in common. They are making it up as they go along. Lawlessness and corruption at the very top of both organizations.

“I see something like “the soft bigotry of low expectations” going on here.”

I honest to God don’t know what’s going on. I don’t think Obama has merely gotten his way. The recent decisions in his favor and the lack of opposition (real opposition, as opposed a few words here and there) by Republicans is, to me, a sign of a voter trend.

Who’s controlling the politicians? Voters or big donors?
