the C-130 Hercules took off from Jakarta's Halim Perdanakusuma Airport on Tuesday with about 113 people on board, but it's not clear how many people were on the plane when it crashed. It made two stops along the way -- in Pekanbaru and Dumai.

That’s a lot of people to cram inside a C130.
12 crew and another 101 passengers along with supplies.
“Minutes into the flight, the pilot requested permission to return to the base.
The plane then banked to the right and plummeted into the ground, bursting into flames and wiping out buildings, including part of a hotel.”
We’ll need a better system to vet pilots going forward.
Yes. I’ve flown in C 130s and I can’t imagine how you’d get that many people in there.
You guys in Blue really take good care of us guys in Green. Retired and still have fond memories of jumping military aircraft.
Even sadder...it turned out they were transporting family members of military personnel who were being relocated.
RIP.
