Hillsborough County sheriff's deputies are investigating a shooting and robbery attempt at a home in Seffner.
According to authorities, the shooting happened after an early-morning confrontation over an ATV at a home at 1602 Taylor Road.
Officials said the homeowner, a 35-year-old man, awoke to his dogs barking at 4 a.m.
When he went outside of the home to investigate, he was confronted by two suspects who ordered him to the ground. The suspects grabbed an ATV that was parked outside the residence and began rolling it to their vehicle parked nearby.

Hmm, hearing dogs bark at 4 am, then going out to investigate, unarmed?

Why would anyone go outside to investigate something at 4 am without first arming up? I’m not going to say he deserved to get shot, but he sure put himself in an awkward position.

If they are going to characterize the successful theft as an attempt, where is the freaking “alleged” in front of “ATV”? and the “allegedly” before “shot”?
And oh yeah! The alleged Seffner man was allegedly shot DURING the alleged ATV robbery “attempt”, not after.

My thoughts too. I arm myself for all occasions except where it is not permitted by law.
My dogs are inside to sleep, so if they start barking I'm well armed within 5 seconds. The illegals are swarming day and night even in small-town very suburban CT.

ATV thefts are generally committed by either white trash or illegal alien perps.
MLK Blvd criminals don't generally heist ATVs in Seffner, Fl.
But is is summer, and lots of yankee grandchildren are visiting...
