You mean they wrote it into the law and deliberately and intentionally, with the willing cooperation of the media, didn’t let the public know about it.

However, if a company wanted to provide a couple cartons of smokes, several bottles of whiskey and a case of beer to each employee....that’s acceptable.

If even one child benefits even indirectly from this, it will have been worth it. </s>

Because what fun is there in vilifying employers if you can’t also fine them for being too generous?

That just proves this law is meant to be a wealth redistribution scheme from the middle class to the ultra wealthy.

There is no law.

But the IRS makes stuff up.

And the Supremes say, “Sounds good! Go for it!”

Congress should disband.

They should name this the "Large Insurance Protection Act." It forces small businesses into the insurance pools. As insurance companies merge to stay afloat, there are fewer and fewer to choose from.

This is part of the plan to reduce the number of insurance companies until there is only one. Single payer will be introduced then.

Pure evil.

“. . . regulation writers at the IRS.”

Regulations can be over-ruled — I’m no lawyer, but regulations are easier to change than laws.

IIRC, massive public and House and Senate outcry/pressure can do it.

Since the IRS is on everyone’s shit list, this may not be a big deal.

As a small business owner, we no longer even talk about health care or insurance or whatever per advice from our tax attorney.

Thanks, Nachum. I passed this on to my employed children and to friends who have kids employed by small businesses. Veterinarians, for example. From the article:

This is a rigid and thoughtless bureaucratic rule

Oh really? Whoda thunk Obamacare would be anything but kind and thoughtful, a boon to all.

If all businesses refused to pay then the problem would be solved.
