some time ago it was the same party , the party of the terrorist IRA who welcomed muslims into N, Ireland. the UDA etc which are prods told these muslims to piss off. They never.
Week later a bunch of men turned up with guns and told them to leave by midnight. They did and then said they wee surprised to be targeted. hell there is so much friction there that they thought they could open another corner store.

Well, elected by the council from among it’s members.
63-members. 5 years terms (for council, the Lord Mayor serves for a year) elected by single transferable vote (a form of proportional representation that they use in Ireland and for the Australian Senate, I don’t like it).
Sinn Fein ain’t even the worse party represented, that honor would go to the Trotskyist “People Before Profit Alliance”, or the Marxist Leninist “Workers’ Party” that actively backed the Soviet Union, take your pick.
I wonder how much of this is the results of a backlash against excessive liberalism that has been showing its ugly head there?
