The Confederate battle flag has been a hot topic in the news over the last few weeks. Some government organizations have taken the flag down, and Walmart made the landmark decision to remove all Confederate battle flag items from stores. However, one side effect of removing the flag from culture has led to the removal of popular Dukes of Hazzard products from stores. Now, TV Land even says it will no longer air any episodes of the classic series.

Wow. Old episodes of Amos and Andy might be next. Oh, wait. . .
This has now moved to censorship.
What else shall be censored?

I'm sure you could get Justice Kennedy to write the majority opinion.
I’m so glad I got my DVDs of the first two seasons of that show when I did. I am sorely tempted to soon visit IOffer and elsewhere to see what other shows and movies on DVD I should get before they really start going after that aspect of things with censorship, prohibition, etc.
I’m also glad that I built up my vintage hockey video collection (games, highlights, and fight compiliations) when I did because apparently not long ago I read about a dealer got a visit from a U.S. Attorney’s representative and given a cease and desist order because the NHL was claiming copyright infringement with the footage.
All the actors on that show should be unable to work any longer too. I mean how could they support racism and black slavery like that?

Yep, I know, this whole dog n pony show is absolutely absurd.
My O my what a wonderful day ..... v
Actually I just noticed the Dukes has been pulled for awhile replaced by two more episodes of Bonanza, which I watch along with Gunsmoke.
But not for long. As I posted on another thread TVland is changing it’s entire format and demo.

The night they kicked old Dixie's ass
And all the yanks were singing
They went, "Nya nya nya nya nya
Nya nya nya nya nya nya nya nya nya.''
