Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell says there's not much Congress can do in the wake of the ruling by the Supreme Court legalizing gay marriage.

In an interview Tuesday night on Kentucky television station WDRB, McConnell restated that he still holds to the traditional view of marriage.

"I’ve always felt that marriage is between one man and one woman and the Supreme Court has held otherwise. That’s the law of the land," the Kentucky Republican said.

When he was asked if there is anything Congress can do, he answered: "I don’t think so. I think the courts have pretty well spoken."

However, McConnell said he is now concerned about "the potential problems with regard to religious liberty."

Well then, Mitch, why don’t you lie down and die and make way for someone who might try.

McConnell is an idiot. Where is this so-called “law” on the books? Did McConnell & Co pass it in the dead of the night?

Congress can remove jurisdiction from the Supreme Court to rule on the issue of marriage.

Stupid is it’s own reward. It is not fixable.

Yup. They are already fanned out cheering Trump, Perry, Rubio and making the path clear to vote Jeb when they sabotage Cruz.

“When he was asked if there is anything Congress can do, he answered: ‘I don’t think so [since combating it doesn’t line our pockets with greenbacks].’”

That’s what Yurtle the Turtle REALLY means.

This is the difference between Republicans and Democrats. The 2nd Amendment has been upheld again and again, but unlike Republicans, the Democrats do not simply shrug their shoulders and say “of well, it’s the law of the land. Let’s accept the fact that the courts have upheld it and move on.” They never accept anything they don’t like. They’ll keep pushing and pushing for as long as it takes until they finally get their way.

Yes, why would I believe in the good intentions of those who have made no secret of the fact that they want to ditch social conservatives, because we were slowing down the real agenda of Congress, whatever team they play for, which is to enrich themselves and their cronies and entrench their own power? If there are any “true believers” in Congress or in politics, they are not on the right, except for a few outliers like Cruz who hearten us but who will ultimately have no chance of stopping or even slowing the juggernaut? For decades we have not been able to roll back Roe v Wade, and now sodomite unions blasphemously called “marriage” are the law of the land. Can people not see the trend of the times here?
