NASCAR is the latest corporation to distance itself from Donald Trump.

On the same day one of its top sponsors called on NASCAR to take a stance against Trump, the motorsports series said it will not hold its season-ending awards ceremony at the Trump National Doral Miami.

"We looked at everything we saw coming down and what we heard from our sponsors and our partners and what we feel we should be doing, and that's what led us to the decision today," NASCAR spokesman David Higdon said Friday at Daytona International Speedway.

Trump's spokesman, Hope Hicks, declined to comment to NBC News Friday..

I don’t believe that banning the CBF from their tracks or sticking up for illegal aliens appeals much to the NASCAR demo either.

According to federal regulations. Any person who has officially filed as a political candidate can’t be promoted in any way other than as a candidate.

So, to show someone in an advertisement other than that of a political nature is illegal. This also includes any product that might be owned or associated with the candidate.

That is why candidates put their most of their holdings in escrow.

I don’t follow NASCAR, but it would be great if those who do would vote with their feet and let these a-holes know that they will quickly go out of business if they don’t back away from this political correctness.

How long will NASCAR keep its precious corporate sponsors if no one is attending or watching the rallies?

So you are saying he has to take down anything in buildings that identify them as Trump? Do his contracts allow that? On many of his projects he was only brought on board for the Trump name.

He could be sued into the 5th century if true. Or he plans to drop out.

What fans of NASCAR are offended by what Trump said? That’s the more relevant question. As a percentage, I wouldn’t imagine very many. I would suggest that most agree with his comments.

Another example of NASCAR, or those who run it, being distant from their fans. Same goes for other corporate entities who are more worried about image than ethics.

I told you what is required in current election regulations. Don’t argue with me, argue with the government.

Any advertisement or sponsorship by a candidate from the day of official notification of entry into a political race will be considered as an endorsement and not allowed unless the candidate acknowledges the advertisement or endorsement as part of his campaign.

As for what he is going to do about this, I don’t know.

I'm not arguing with you, I was just asking a question. It sounds like Trump Tower et al will having to be renamed and all identifying signage taken down. Costly, and may violate a lot of contracts.

I guess that NASCAR has forgotten it's very own roots. That it's grounded in the practice of brewing MOONSHINE and running from the federal revenuers and such. There was the car or truck carrying the 'shine and the car running blocker and that's where NASCAR comes from! Where did most moonshine originate? Not NEW YAWK CITY! Not Atlantic City! More like Atlanta and Memphis and down in the Bayou and.... THE SOUTH! What a bunch of maroons (says Bugs Bunny)!

NASCAR should compensate by having a transvestite sing the National Anthem, like the A’s. They could also paint the pace car in rainbow colors. Maybe they could replace the benediction with a speech from Obama about greedy white people spending money on a silly sport, instead of sending it to the generational welfare class.

Seriously, there was a time when I couldn’t miss a race. I don’t think I have watched a full race yet this year.

I don't care for Donald Trump, nor do I care what it was he said that so “outraged” the cowards of many “corporations” and groups such as NASCAR.

I will never subscribe to the groupthink that these asshats insist upon, and as far as I'm concerned:

NASCAR, GO EFF YOURSELVES!
