This homosexual garbage is breaking my heart. I realize I can’t rule over what somebody else does in the privacy of their bedrooms; but these people largely don’t intend to keep it in their bedrooms like normal people. They seem mostly to want to ACT UP, ACT OUT, & ACT A JACKASS just to rub our noses in it. - Don’t worry what people think in a kneejerk reaction to your posts. Ha! I’ve had more than a few things I’ve posted on FR over the years misunderstood. - Until now, I hadn’t had any great desire for a Confederate flag; but now I do. I don’t wish to hurt black people’s feelings - & I don’t wish for anyone to hurt mine either! - Obama seems to me to be trying to create as much discord & division as possible while he has that “bully pulpit” which he has so misused. What a pity!

Meanwhile, the satanic temple (I REFUSE to capitalize) is intending to erect a statue of baphomet outside the Arkansas Statehouse. Allegedly, the satanic temple “advocates for the separation of church & state” (the hell it does! & we all know who these people represent- on earth).

The flag is pat of our history. No, the flag did not cause anybody to commit murder. I hope there will be recall petition for Gov. Nikki Haley. She had no objection to the flag when she was running for governor. Now suddenly she is so offended she had to remove it.

She is doing exactly what the left wants. Is she a closet lefty? Or is she being blackmailed? My guess is that she just has contempt for our history, perhaps for this country. We need to preserve our history, not falsely trash it.

I hope there will be a petition to recall Nikki.

There were reasons that there were terms like "rally around the flag", and in fact one of the most popular songs during the CW (south) was "Bonnie Blue Flag". When a flag carrier fell, someone else would drop their musket, and carry on. There was a huge Scotch-Irish presence in the south (including several of my ancestors), and the St.Andrews Cross, and it's variations carry a lot of pride for us.

I have supported historic preservation, including Civil War battlefields and monuments, North and South, and it is dusting to see the likes of Nikki gleefully and quickly start to trash the flag. She could have called for election, etc.

I bet she didn't rave against the flag when she ran for office - didn't find it offensive then. So why now? Maybe this just provided her the opportunity to do what she had always wanted - stick it to U.S. history.

The flag had nothing to do with killings. It is harmful to promote this kind of displacing of blame, her version of the "Twinkie defense."
