Trump: ‘I don’t know’ if Obama was born in US
The Hill ^ | 7/10/15 | Elliot Smilowitz

Donald Trump says he’s still not convinced President Obama was born in America, but that he’s not interested in rehashing the issue.

"I don't know. I really don't know," the 2016 Republican presidential candidate told CNN when asked on Thursday. "I don't know why he wouldn't release his records."

Trump insisted he doesn’t want that debate to define his candidacy, though.

"Honestly, I don't want to get into it," he said. "I'm about jobs, I'm about the military, I'm about doing the right thing for this country."

Obama in 2011 released his long-form birth certificate after years of rumors that he was born outside the country. Trump, among the loudest voices pressuring the president to release his information, took credit for the release at the time, saying he was “very proud” of himself.

The birth certificate did not sate Trump’s desire for more information about Obama’s early life. In 2012, Trump offered the president $5 million to a charity of his choice to release his college transcripts and passport history.

That pretty much tells the story right there.

We don’t know, either.

Never was that interested in the birther issue, probably because all his other lies more directly affected me and my loved ones. I wouldn't be all that surprised if Obama was born outside the US, but at this point, I don't know if it makes a difference if he was.

Now the libs are raising the birther issue regarding Ted Cruz. We all know he was born in Canada to a Cuban father, but an American mother. Harvard Law School opined that Ted Cruz is eligible because he is a “natural born citizen” by virtue of his mother's American citizenship, as opposed to a “naturalized citizen,” which would make him ineligible. Seems to me if Obama was born outside the US and his mother retained her American citizenship, Obama too would be eligible.

Even if it was determined Obama was ineligible, does anyone really think any action would be taken against him at this late date? I don't think so.

Say what you want about this guy, he’s asked the questions that the GOP establishment won’t ask. Obama’s early love, illegal immigration, and he’s talking about jobs.

I also don’t think Trump would put up with 20 trillion dollar debt. None of these politicians are going to do anything about any of these issues. Sadly he’s becoming one of the only options that can be trusted to do something about these issues. His response to Anderson Cooper’s ridiculous assertion that no crime is associated with illegal immigration was perfect. “Come on, your not a baby.”

I’m not ready to cast my vote yet but Trump has my attention.

The fact that the whole issue came out of the Clinton camp says all I need to know.

So what would he do about it?

If it’s determined he lied it would technically invalidate everything. It automatically justifies his arrest and removal. Obamacare would not be a real law nor would any of his executive orders. He’d be undone and the rats discredited. This is why you won’t hear anything about it. If you do, it would be followed with some pretty major fireworks at a national and international level.

I believe that when the bad Combover finally shows his true colors and stops grandstanding, there will be the sound of crickets here about the man.

But I don't see anyone arresting Obama or removing him from office.

I doubt his eligibility but it really doesn’t matter now and is kind of pointless to talk about.

No, I agree with you. He could openly declare that he is a Kenyan, Indonesian, or Citizen of the World and there would be some sound and thunder, but he would not be removed by what passes for an opposition Congress.

That pretty much tells the story right there.

Even more telling is that he upped the offer to $50 million and it was still ignored

Not so sure.

It certainly demonstrates why you don’t want an enemy agent as “president”.

The GOP’s response to anything Barky said, was always “well, if he said it, I have to take his word for it”. Because they didn’t want to be boat rockers.

Excuse me? Odumbo is a complete lie and as such has been affecting millions of lives, INCLUDING the poster and his loved ones.
