Over the past decade the idea that we are “born this way” — or that our sexuality is genetic — has become increasingly important. The mantra has become a political strategy, in particular for gay and lesbian communities, who see it as a way to protect themselves from discrimination. The movement has spawned blogs where people show pictures of their childhood to highlight the innate nature of their sexuality, and attacks on those who have questioned the theory.
But do the politics match the science?

Take a really good look at Ruth Bader Ginsberg. Picture her as the mother of a son. Come to your own conclusions regarding a gay gene.
The Left believes that race and gender are social constructs, but that sexual orientation is immutable from before birth (even though before birth it’s just a tissue mass, etc...). The Left believes some weird things.
They have proof that the “gay gene” is a farce.
The test they did was to take identical twins, one of whom was a queer, and compared their DNA.
Identical twins have identical DNA so this is a solid test.
The test results in every case was that the DNA was exactly the same which means there is no such thing as the gay gene.
No daddy, No role model, No upbringing to be a man = queers.
If it’s genetic, the homos have to worry about a gene therapy cure; if it’s behavioral, the homos have to fret over a psychotherapy approach.
Have you ever wondered if it turns out it’s genetic - and therefore susceptible to testing in the womb - how quickly homos would become anti-abortion?
Homosexuality is a behavior, not a trait. In order to be a homosexual, one must perform homosexual acts.
I love my Father. We are both males. We are not homosexuals.
A male sticks his penis into another male’s anal canal. He does not love that male. They are both homosexuals.
It is the act that defines homosexuality.
I think that in a small percentage of cases, this perversion is a genetically derived abberration. But for majority, it is an acquired perversion.

The idea that someone born a particular way entitles him to the same treatment as others born differently is ludicrous to start with.
Is someone born with the proclivity of a pedophile entitled to exercise his desires? What about a kleptomaniacs, or a sadist, or an arsonist?
Gay is no more genetic than ‘conservative’ or ‘liberal.’ Most conservatives and liberals would say they’ve always felt that way, etc.
As to your 2nd point, I used to ask people this question when my friends and I would debate in college: “Assuming that they do one day find that there is a gay gene and further that they develop a test that can determine before birth whether a child will be homosexual, do you support a woman’s right to terminate her pregnancy solely because she finds out the baby will be gay?”
Answers were always full of indignation and retorts like “nobody would do that.” They will never answer the question, though.
Homosexuals are made, not born. That's why they want access to our children.
Since identical twins have the same DNA, if one is a homosexual, both should be homosexual, if homosexuality is a genetic marker...
Environment and learned behavior were the difference, between being straight and being gay....
But, hey when do actual facts matter ?
I remember when I first met my college roommate he said “Hi, I’m Lee. I’m really feminine, but don’t worry, I’m not gay. I just never had a dad or a male role model.”
Apparently the need to recruit new gays by targeting adolescents is in their genes too.

I think it’s more complicated than that.
Study XXY Androgen insensitivity.
Then study the role pheromones and endocrinology play in reproductive physiology among social animals. It’s pretty well documented for honey bees, for example.
Apply that knowledge in the symptomatic context of Romans 1:25+, where socio-biological stress is manifested within a culture that is subverted into immorality and ungodliness.
The left doesn't believe anything. It concocts a series of action plans to destroy Western Civilization. Some of those action plans (like Marxism) are dressed up to resemble theories. But you only have to watch how quickly they can drop a given theory if it conflicts with a new action plan. Case in point: you will never ever ever ever hear a leftist criticize rape or slavery in the muslim world. Because the newly revised action plan for the destruction of the west involves a tacit working agreement between islam and the left.
So gone are the theories of Sexual Equality and Anti-Slavery. Flushed right down the toilet.
Think about this - why is there a B in LGBT. Isn’t Bisexuality all about a choice??
80% of homosexuals were MOLESTED as children.
No part of that is “born this way”.
This entire effort is to make YOUR CHILDREN easier prey for the child molesters.
Had a trans-gender man come into my office yesterday. It occurred to me that telling these tortured souls that self mutilation is the key to happiness is absolutely pathetic, sad and reprehensible.
When all else fails; blame it on the Creator!
