The Pentagon is planning to let soldiers serve who are so-called "transgendered."

The Pentagon is opening the door for transgender troops to serve in the military, Defense Secretary Ash Carter announced Monday, continuing a wave of expansion in opportunity under President Barack Obama.

And there likely won’t be much opposition on Capitol Hill, with Senate Armed Services Chairman John McCain (R-Ariz.) saying he has no major objections.

Of course!  Why would John McCain or any Republican object to that?

Sen. Kelly Ayotte (R-N.H.) also raised the readiness issue. “It’s going to be up to [the military] to say whether this is something they can accommodate and make sure it doesn’t interfere with our ability to defend the nation,” she said.

Ayotte passes the ball...and Obama scores!

That means men who call themselves women will dress in a skirt with heels.

How confusing and disruptive for our troops will it be if the one on the left is a guy and the one on the right is a woman?

This is, or was, until recently, classified as a mental illness.  Despite what the political class says, it is still clearly a mental illness, because it is a state of mind where people are unhappy with their own bodies and honestly believe that they are of the other gender.  Since the beginning of time, people have been unhappy about different parts or attributes of their own bodies.  When carried to an extreme, it's a mental illness.  But now, in 2015, it's considered a badge of courage.

I am shocked in the sense that we have lost all common sense.

Political correctness may yet get us all killed.

We are not allowed to exercise common sense, and say that the military is fundamentally different from civilian life. We are not allowed to say that someone who claims to be a woman trapped in a man’s body and all that, just may have “issues” which will prevent him from carrying out a military mission.

We are not allowed to say that someone who needs regular hormone shots or other medications are not fit for military service.

We are so politically correct, that this issue is presented as one of “civil rights” for trans whatever peoples, rather than an issue of what are the physical and mental qualifications needed for military service.

We are not allowed to say that, while trans-whatever people’s unique needs can be accomodated in civilian life, that they can’t be so accomodated in a combat zone.

Sad to say, the military mission suffers so we can bend over backwards to prove how liberal we are.
